Oro de Ocho — Restaurant in Uwajima

Oro de Ocho is stylish and comfortable. We went there for delicious wood-fired pizza one night and went back for pasts the next. Chef Kenji, trained in Matsuyama and Spain, is also a sommelier. There are many excellent wines to choose from. The food is fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated, and the service by Midori was excellent. I had the aglio y olio, which was absolutely delicious, and my husband had equally tasty carbonara. We shared a Caprese salad with the best tasting mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil I have had in Japan. Our desserts— chocolate gateau and matcha cheesecake—were amazing and were accompanied by ice cream and blood orange slices. I wish I could eat here every night that I am in Japan. 鶏肉とキノコのクリームパスタが美味しかったです。アオリイカのカルパッチョもアオリイカ新鮮で美味しかった。 お通しはカボチャスープ美味しかったです。 鹿肉のテリーヌは獣臭さも無く美味しかったです。 海老のアヒージョは薄味。 ピザは生地は具材は美味しかったです。 スパークリングワイン、カシススパークリングワインは美味しかったようです。

残念ポイント ①丁寧に調理しているようですが、お客さんの入りのわりには料理の提供時間がだいぶかかりました。注文してからアヒージョがくるまで３０分くらい。料理と料理の間に時間が空き過ぎてしまった。 ②パスタ以外はちょっと量が少な目でした。
