Fun to try kawarasoba, aka hot tile soba. The soba noodles are cooked on a sizzling hot tile in front of you. The noodles 🍜 in contact with the hot base will cook til it becomes dry and crunchy which you then dip in a dashi broth to eat together with the ingredients.

Kinda funny that in our part of the world, we strive to eat noodles that are soft and chewy, whereas this version reverts the texture back to Indomee from the packet 😂 still, it was a memorable experience to try such a unique dish.

Also had the blowfish 🐡 sashimi which was delicately sweet and paired well with a citrus 🍊 dip and the draft beer 🍺

In summary, tourist prices and smallish portions. But the town isn't exactly overflowing with similar establishments to choose from. Pleasant meal overall.
