SUGEEZ lil' frites — Restaurant in Yamanakako

I've been to a couple "trendy" burger places in Japan, and its baffling that a country who is sensitive to food texture can produce awkward chunky-chewy burgers. Its a horrible eating experience.

I took my first bite from the top, and a third of my burger patty fell out from the bottom. It was only downhill from there. Its just texturally so wrong. Some bits are chewy, others are soft, but bite to bite you're not sure what's coming next, and the flavor of the patty isnt redeeming.

If you're from a western country with real burgers, go here. It will be a cultural experience and you will now understand what your Japanese friend means when they say ramen in the US (or wherever) is generally bad (and overpriced). Otherwise, I would not recommend.

For reference two burgers and fries is ~$3,000 yen. Only thing saving this from 1 star is that both the standard and wedge fries were...

This is a hidden gem that is waiting to be discovered. A chic and modern burger cafe where the food is freshly cooked to order, their signature classic burger is absolutely delicious and amazing. The potato wedges were also fresh and soft.

The ambience and food is everything to love especially when the team can also speak English. All types of electronic payment methods are widely accepted along with cash.

Love the layout of the cafe, seating is scattered everywhere in a wide open space environment, semi-alfresco. There is also complimentary onsite parking making a nice and relaxing place to unwind and chill when visiting the area.

Complete non-starter. the promise of a great burger completely broken by a mushy small patty service extremely slow (waited 1 hour 10 minutes for 2 burgers to take out. The three staff seemed uncoordinated and took orders in batches, so the food is cooked in batches, by which time half the batch is cold and the fries have gone soft take out was disorganized as the packaging was ad-hoc, the orders had to wait for each component before packaging offered a compensatory drink because of slow service, without being asked, but we were on bikes so didn't want drinks.

All-in-all a nightmare experience for what should be a slick operation but...
