Thank you for opening all day so we got to have a good lunch in the afternoon time. I especially was impressed by your green tea.
However, I don't appreciate the attitude from the female waitress. Especially when I saw how she treated the kids when the parents went away to the toilet.
It was 2024.11.29 afternoon, a table of Singaporean family (or malaysian or hk) came in the same room as where I was. While the parents were away, the two well-behaved quiet kids were left alone in the room. The female waitress came to pour the tea. I started to pay attention as I saw the little lady concentratedly looking at her pouring tea. The little lady stood up as she was short, and she was on the other side of the table from where the waitress was. Then the waitress said to her: sit! She was then forced to sit. Later on, the waitress asked the two kids to remove their coats. She even helped them to remove the coats. After she left the room, I saw that the little boy immediately put on the coat again.
When the mother came in the room, I kind of felt that the parents asked why the lady does not wear the coat (she had only one layer of cotton cloth under the coat which was removed by the waitress).
All in all, if I were the mother, I would be so angry how the waitress "taught" my kids what to behave, and "forced" and "helped" my kids to remove the coats. I am very surprised that the waitress would do those to the guests, especially since I thought Japanese are very respectful. I hope it was not because they were kids, so she felt she could do anything to them when their parents were away.
My suggestion to the female waitress: regarless of your intention, please stay same respectful...
Read moreI just wanted to say this was the BEST unagi I've had in my life. It's a lovely family-run restaurant and the lady who served me was very kind. I trusted her recommendation and did not regret it. The restaurant was beautifully decorated too.

私たちは右隣の入口からカウンターに通されました。 カウンターは2人掛けのイスが3つあります。
私たちの後の組は二階にある座敷に通された模様。 とりあえず、せいろ蒸し(並)×2個、(中)×1個注文。 ↓ 20分後、注文が厨房に通ってるか女将さんに再確認。 女将さんは「問題なく通ってます」との事。 時間かかるが、心の中で「一つ一つ丁寧に作られてるんだろう」と自身で納得させる。 ↓ 1時間後、後に入ったハズの組が食事終えて出られる。それ以降の方にも追い越され、どうやら注文通ってない模様。 ↓ 女将さんに「ごめん全然料理来ないんだけど注文通ってますか」と聞くと
「ご飯炊いてたりして、時間かかるんです。じゃあ(注文)どうされます?」 と、暗に「別にキャンセルしてお店出て行ってもいいですけど!」 というような態度で接される。 ↓ 注文通ってない旨を伝えても謝る気無し。 すみませんのひと言もない。 ここまで長く待ったので、とりあえず待つことに ↓ 待ってる間、厨房から 「カウンターの人が腹かいてるから」 という女将の声が聞こえてくる始末。 こっちが悪者扱いされた気分…。 ↓ 結局、料理出てきたのは16時… 昼ご飯のつもりが夕ご飯に。 ↓ とりあえず食べたけど、女将さんのショックな態度もあり、気持ちの問題で全然美味しくなかったです。 ↓ 挙げ句の果てには、会計の際に女将さんが 「せいろ蒸し(中)×3個ですね?」 と言われ、違う旨を伝えると、私たちの席の料理の器を疑うように確認して、訂正されました。 もちろん、女将さんのお詫びはありません!!
とりあえず、今の女将さんがいる限りは次に行く気にはなりません。オススメもしません。
星1個もあげたくないという気持ちはこういうことかと感じました。
