We came here on a quiet Sunday night for dinner, and our decision to come here was based on having had a positive experience with the pizza restaurant next door, owned by the same people. The pizza restaurant was very good, and had an atmosphere that was aimed at people in their 20s, which was fine for us. However, the atmosphere of the pasta restaurant was completely different, the interior felt more like a traditional restaurant but we were still met with music that better fit a club, or a "gangsta's" car out on a drive-by mission. For us, the music ruined the overall atmosphere.
This was just the start of a poor evening. The presentation of the chef was poor, as he clearly doesn't look after his cleanliness, his apron was filthy. We were led to our table and upon sitting down we found the underside of one of our plates wasn't clean, and had grease splattered on it. We were then moved to a clean table after mentioning it. We were served by the chef at this time. We ordered two pasta dishes, a tomato based one and a cream based one. We also ordered olives as an appetiser. The olive dish was small for the cost. The tomato based pasta arrived first, and was actually very good.
However, the nice dinner ended there. The carbonara that we ordered arrived completely doused in pepper, even whole peppercorns. We attempted to eat it anyway, but ultimately couldn't, as it was practically inedible. I raised it as an issue with the waiter, who didn't look particularly friendly about handling a complaint (something that is very uncommon in Japan). He came back after taking my complaint to the head chef, trying to argue that it was perfectly okay to over season the pasta with pepper because, "That's how we do it here, that's our style!" I told him my background in the industry, and proceeded to explain that I have never in my career seen so much pepper on a dish (it had more pepper in it than a peppercorn sauce!) This is when the head chef came over and said he would cook a new one.
This is when the insults came, which, by the general attitude of the staff, I was expecting but hoping wouldn't be the case. The newly cooked pasta came to us, with a pot of pepper on the side "In case you want it." The pasta itself was over salted this time, to the point in which our mouths dried out. My mouth is still dry this morning while typing this review, and I can still taste the salt. Given the way the staff approached us, we decided to not bother any further with them.
Considering the poor way the staff dealt with the problem, I recommend that people steer clear of this restaurant. Good quality kitchen staff should not only take criticism constructively (especially given that we praised the other dish, and the pizzas whilst discussing the issue with the carbonara), but should also be willing to do a request from a guest that is perfectly reasonable without attitude, and especially without...

20分位経ってからパテや生ハム、1時間で一品目のパスタ、その後30分でパスタ二品目、豚は更にその15分後。つまり最初に頼んだ料理が揃うのに1時間45分。
店主が一人で料理、金髪の若い女性が接客。 30分経ったくらいで、まだですか?と尋ねてみるも「はーい、もうすぐです」と謝罪の一言と無く他人事のような回答。 きっと料理が遅いのは別に自分のせいでは無いし、、という意識からなのでしょう。
せっかく料理は美味しいのに、提供時間何とかなりませんかね。 もったいないです。 対応出来ないのであれば、席数を減らしたり予約を減らしたりするべきかと思いました。
金額は大人2人、中学生2人、幼児1人でそれぞれジュースとノンアル一杯ずつ、パテ、生ハム、パスタ×3、豚肉のステーキ?、で17000円。お腹は全く満足してませんが、あまりの提供の遅さに追加する気になれませんでした。アルコール抜きでこの量でこの値段は少々お高めかな、、と感じました。
色々書きましたが、、とにかく提供の遅さが許容範囲を超えていたのと、それをあまり異常とも思っていない店員に辟易とした次第です。 自分がパスタを頼んで50分出て来なかったらどう感じるのでしょう?
