Delhi masala — Restaurant in Yokohama

This was for us the best Indian place in Japan! After having eaten already at many Indian restaurants and being very disappointed every time, this was a very satisfying experience. The problem with Indian restaurants in Japan is that they adapt it to Japanese preferences so don't expect it to be spicy, the naan having a strange shape and more unconventional things like getting horrible Japanese sticky rice instead of basmati, and eventually you'll end up filling your stomach with 90% naan or rice and just a bit of sauce.

But this restaurant, that looked like it's managed by two brothers, was a completely different experience. Basmati rice? check! Spicy customization? check! Decent portions? Check!! Good flavour? Check!!! Friendly and attentive service? Check!!!!

I came for lunch on a Saturday, so I don't know if it changes but the downstairs is for takeaways and upstairs for eat-in. Once you head upstairs, you can take a seat and order.

The lunch menu is pretty basic but has most of the usual items. The set was pretty good though, especially considering the price. Most of the other customers were guys who looked to be on their lunch break.

Service was pretty fast, and there's a till up there to pay at after your meal.

It is very bad service restaurant.I went with my wife. Ask about service, because he didn’t serve water untill 15 min. When I asked about service he was doing only bad things to me and my wife.And that time the employee was badly drunk.
