I booked a room as a Titanium member. Was offered 2PM late checkout which was appreciated as I expect little to no benefits from this brand of hotel.||The room is precisely like most basic business hotels in Japan. Perfect for a solo traveler and a pretty tight squeeze for two. I found the bed a bit softer and two pillows included which was nice. Being able to see something outside the window that isn’t simply the next building was also an upgrade over any other basic business hotel.||The hotel is located a manageable walk west of Yokohama Station. What I liked about the local area is plenty of restaurants and a Lawson across the street from the hotel. What I wasn’t such a fan of is the area can be bustling at night with people and the street outside the hotel entrance tended to have women touts advertising massages. Also the hotel elevator always stops on the second floor. A few business hotels in town with lobbies on their second floor do this for security purposes but it can be a small inconvenience to always have to stop on the second floor when leaving or returning to the hotel.||I believe this is currently Marriott’s most affordable option in the Greater Tokyo Area and I thought it was a fine experience. If you’re fine trading a commute to Tokyo for a lower nightly rate I think this is a decent option. I personally consider commuting from Yokohama preferable to commuting from Chiba/Disneyland so I likely will be back...
Read moreThis place gives you what you need but nothing more in a pretty good location. Busy street with lots of food options and 13 min walk to Yokohama station. It was hard to roll out luggage on tiled/uneven streets surface. As a Bonvoy member, I would not stay here again. For family of 4, we had to split up between two floors due to only one room per floor with two twin beds. Worst of all, we could not access each other’s floor unless you had a key so it was inconvenient although they say they do it for safety reasons. The elevator always stops on the second floor each ride, also for “safety” reason and they clean your room for “hygiene” reason every 3 days which I thought was odd. Overall, it would be okay for young single person or a couple but definitely would not stay here with a family. Bathroom sink was so tiny that I felt like I was on a cruise with minimal space. No food option at the hotel(more of a motel feel) other than a vending machine and a microwave with water machine on each floor. I do appreciate a coin laundry option. There is a restaurant next door that sells you breakfast sets for about 1200 yen. Overall, disappointed for a...
Read moreIf you arrive at Yokohama Sta and can get out without circling, congratulations! The hotel is not hard to find once you exit in the proper place. I found the S. West exit near (the stinky) Lush soap store to be the most direct. There are a gazillion restaurants all around and despite being a lively area, my room was very quiet and I only really heard the adjacent neighbor's door shutting. The blackouts on these windows do not completely keep out light as most other business hotels I've stayed have (the shade doesn't run on a track so light bleeds on the edges). Front desk is very friendly and it's convenient that once you tap your key card it goes to your floor. The elevator always stops at floor 2 (reception). The body care amenities seem a little nicer than average for business hotel and includes a small packet of body lotion. The bathtub is a little less narrow than standard unit bath too. My efficient, single size room had a small sitting chair and side table between the foot of the bed and window. I wonder how many people have actually used that chair in the compactly...
