An Unforgettable Thai Dining Experience – One of the Best Meals in Japan!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Thai restaurant, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable meals I’ve enjoyed in Japan. From the exceptional service to the outstanding quality and variety of dishes, every detail was perfection.

The set menu was a delightful journey through authentic Thai flavors, offering a perfect balance of spicy, sweet, and savory dishes. Each plate was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, vibrant ingredients. The variety ensured there was something for every palate, and every bite was a new delight.

What truly set this restaurant apart was their willingness to accommodate special requests such as giving lemon unlike other restaurants I've dined at whilst in Japan. The staff went above and beyond to tailor dishes to our preferences, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable dining experience.

A special shout-out to Takayasu, whose excellent service elevated the meal even further. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, Takayasu made us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening.

If you’re looking for authentic Thai cuisine with outstanding service at a great price, this is the place to go. Highly recommended - so good we visited this place twice...

Overall a good Thai place in Okinawa. I would give 3.5 stars but since that option is unavailable it gets 4 over 3. There are a few things a miss, such as no kafir lime leaves or galangal root in the tomyum, but for the average person this spot is probably a great bet.

While some of the flavors were not 100% authentic they were still delicious.

Spice level was nothing like actual Thai food, but that is to be expected when eating Thai food in Japan. On my next visit I will request a more authentic heat level.

Price was a bit high, but overall not bad. 3200¥ for two for lunch sets and additional salad.

I wouldn't recommend getting the tomyum set as it comes with very small dishes of yellow & green curry and tomyum. Just order one thing and roll with it.

Wife had basil chicken, which, again, was lacking in the basil department but overall...

When we arrived, there were like 1 or 2 tables filled. We proceed to order about 4 dishes and rice for my family of 2 adults and 3 kids. 3 of the dishes came reasonably quick but the last one (grilled chicken) took like forever (30-40 mins). We had to stop the kids from finishing up their rice too quickly in order to wait for the last dish. Imagine us all sitting there and staring at each other for 25 mins. The portions were very small, so I ordered an additional curry prawn. That took pretty long too. My wife wasn't too happy at that point. When it finally came, we found like 5 small prawns amongst the curry. It went for 1100yen and we can only have 1 each. The taste is pretty okay but I would advise people with large group to order 2 or 3 of each. All in all, I would rather have gone to...

Atmosphere was charming, reminded me of my time in Chiang Mai. So the nostalgia added an extra star to this review. I wasn’t too hungry so I just had the appetizers. But I took a bite of my wife’s green curry and it was pretty good. I didn’t see red curry on the menu, which is typically what I always try my first time at a new Thai restaurant. They did have Thai Basil and next time I go back I’ll try it and update this review. I also ordered the coconut ice cream and it was a nice dessert. Final verdict. Cute Thailand-themed atmosphere and pretty good Thai food. I look forward to to coming back with an empty stomach next time and trying the entrees.
