Tsuchinaru — Restaurant in Yomitan

The chef in this small restaurant in an unusual location, is great the food is well presented and the experience was most enjoyable. The Japanese name is Tsuchinari Café, however the signs leading to it say Home party house café. The restaurant is in a remodeled home, the outside looks rough and you may think is no longer in business, there is a hand written "Open" or "Closed" sign in the parking area. The hours ate Monday - Saturday 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM (the last order is taken at 3:00 PM. The only evening hours are by reservation only and English assistance is limited. Such a cute family run restaurant. Easy to find on Google maps. Parking on site and it was free. English menu offered. We had the hamburger steak set menu as well as the fish special. The fish on the menu is called dolphin fish otherwise known as mahi-mahi. The prices were very reasonable at 1000 - 1200 yen. The meals came with a choice of drink and a salad plate, then a soup, the chosen entree followed by the dessert! Such beautiful presentations they really take pride in their plating.

Friendly host and chef came out to explain the food himself :) the place has parking spaces. Few menu selection but food come in course meal and very fulfilling. Homey atmosphere and lots of locals....
