Read moreI was in Jersey for work and decided to have a curry on my last evening. I asked a few people directly for recommendations, this restaurant was mentioned a few times. I decided to give it a try. I was greeted by the owner, who was a proper character. He was an excellent host, passionate about his restaurant and the dishes on the menu. I am a member of a Gentleman's Curry Club, we have sampled many restaurants, and know a good one. This is definitely one of the good one's, a great choice of dishes, great service and an excellent atmosphere. My only slight issue is with the price of the curries. I had a Chicken Pasanda, which was delicious, but expensive. I normally expect to pay anything between £10 and £15 for the curry, this was £19.95. By the time I added 2 poppadoms, special rice, a Keema Nan, and a lager shandy, my bill (with service included) came to £55. That is to date the most I've paid for a curry meal for one person. I would definitely still go back and highly recommend you give it a try, just be prepared for a...
Read moreWhat an absolute gem, I visited solo in March and then again in May with a colleague as i thought she'd like it.
Quality ingredients, my dish was perfect - some of the best I've ever eaten and I've eaten a lot over the last 25 years!
The garlic naan light and fluffy, perfectly balanced amount of ghee.
My colleague had Mutta Paneer, the front of house excitedly told us the paneer is made in house, it was sublime, i tasted a piece and was really impressed.
Furthermore to this the front of house genuinely was some of the best service I've ever experienced, really solid service, the waiters taking time to help recommend dishes for those wanting advice, another waiter treated a group of young lads to a spice challenge with their poppadums' and genuinely was a joy to listen to him buzz around the small restaurant.
Lads, if you see this, genuinely well done - you are a credit to...
