It was a truly special experience! We feel so lucky to have found this seemingly unassuming little restaurant, where we were warmly welcomed by the kind-hearted owners. The chicken wraps and burgers were both delicious and unique. The lady owner thoughtfully advised us not to order too much to avoid wasting food, and when we packed our leftovers to go, she carefully wrapped them in insulating paper and labeled them with their names. This small but heartfelt gesture made us feel so warm and cared for. We highly, highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant!

Had me the rooster katsu (chicken) burger came with really good fries and the burger was amazing , huge chicken peice and the flavour was sooo good. My wife had the grilled halloumi ciabatta sandwich and she said it was very good (it looked good to) we are visiting from New Zealand and if I lived here I would be eating here alot .it's a small family business doing it right .loved it .ps forgot to take a photo has I hovered it all down as soon as it came😋

This is honestly the best food in St Helier. We walked past this place a few times and I wish we decided to try it earlier. They serve God’s honest food, freshly cooked as you wait. The selection is amazing especially for such a tiny place - they have grilled sandwiches, wraps, burgers, even salads, beers, juices, wine and hot drinks. Please, do try this delicious food, you won’t regret and the bill won’t break your bank.

We had an absolutely amazing lunch here today. Two kids, wife and I were looking for somewhere nice, relaxing and with good food - and boy did we. It was brilliant. Greeted by the owner (who was lovely) and made to feel really welcome. Son and I had the roast chicken between us - it was incredible. Cooked perfectly. Chips were lovely, corn on the cob was just right and the peri peri sauce was so good even my son (who generally just eats ketchup) was fighting me for it. Daughter had a baked potato which she wolfed down before I could “assist” and my wife had the best looking shawarma wrap I’ve seen on Jersey (and apparently the best she’s ever eaten).

The Stove also has a lunch bar around the outside window with phone and laptop charging points (they even have cables!!!!). It’s 1 minute from Patriotic Street Car Park and 5 minutes from the shore.

This place is without doubt my favourite place now to go in town. We will 100% be back. And of note thanks so much to the owner for chatting with the kids - it really did mean...

Came here recently with partner for food as it was close to where we were staying. Very decent selection of food on the menu and decent beer too. The guy running it was friendly and attentive. Ordered one of the half roast chicken meals. Very well presented and very tasty. Good wholesome food at a reasonable price. Beer was also good. Venue and facilities were clean. For a small establishment it was a great find and we went back again a few days later for more good food and beer. Next time in St Hellier we will visit again for sure. I have no hesitation in recommending The Rooster...

Sadly not a good experience. We went twice during our stay at the hotel nearby. Both times the gentleman who served us was rude and unhelpful. Didn’t seem to want our business. The food is actually reasonably nice but service is a let down. Would definitely never go again. Also noticed the same man who does the serving of customers touched food with his hand when he was bought it by the kitchen staff. For me this is unhygienic somebody who is touching cash, the card machine and other things around the restaurant shouldn’t put their bare hands on food if...
