Here on holiday. Visited the cafe at lunchtime and opted for the jersey breakfast. What a disappointment! £8.50 for a slightly warm deep fried breakfast. Sausage - deep fried and hot. Mushrooms - deep fried and cold. Hash Browns - deep fried and hot. Tomatoes had been what appeared to be griddled but were hard and cold. Probably the only good part was the bacon which was nice and crispy, probably deep fried. When I had finished the breakfast I noticed that the food could have swam in the oil that was left on the plate. The staff were average except for the woman that I assume to be either the manger or the owner who was very friendly. One waitress I observed, was not in the slightest dressed to be serving customers and delivering food to tables. Skin tight Lycra leggings that hid nothing at all is not appropriate. Overall a huge...

We ordered food and got the "your order from food.je was accepted" email at 18:59, followed by an sms that advised it will arrive in 1:30 hours. Which is curious for fast food, but as we didn't want to go through the effort of cancelling and refunds we took it to the chin. After we waited 2 hours we wanted to call and find out if they had forgotten about us, but there was no answer (we later found out they closed shop at 21:00). After 2:30 hours we were sure they forgot us and cooked as we were famished (since 19:00). The order did arrive though - when we had already eaten. It is a curious decision to deliver food after over 2:30 hours of waiting, and an absolute joke, there is nothing wrong in declining an order. It's better to lose one order than a...

Was recommended by a local, but seeing it was a Sunday evening, it could have been the only place open at that time. Thai food was tasteless. Green curry looked and tasted like cream of chicken n veg soup. Pad Thai was overcooked noodles in the same sauce as the chicken with cashew nuts. Even when asked for medium and hot dishes they just threw a few more chillies on top. Expensive for basic takeaway quality food. Good concept and use of space…..breakfast, lunch beach cafe by day. Thai restaurant by night. Do need to reset the tables for the evening. Remove the ketchup n brown sauce from the tables. Still looked like...

I ordered from the Thai by night what appeared to be an oil spill, reminiscent of the Exxon Valdez disaster. The “No Name” lived up to its moniker, as I am still at a loss for words to describe what it actually was. The spring rolls, on the other hand, were so sodden with oil, they could have been used to lubricate the engine of a 747. Next was the “Massaman Curry”. I felt like it had been teleported straight from the 1970s, reminding me of cheap packet Chicken Supreme that my Mum used to make us eat when we were ill. Not good.

Good place to eat on the seafront. Burgers, nuggets etc. all good quality, very good milkshakes. Knickerbocker glory magnificent! Only minor criticism is with the flexibility of the servings, wanted a kid’s omelette but only adults available, not willing to split a mixture or make any variation, ended up wasting a lot of food. Good level access to all areas, toilets good, staff efficient & polite but not all as caring as others. Very happy to use again. Very convenient for the water feature/maze.

The name La Fregate "café" doesn't do this place justice. It's much more than a café. Situated right on the promenade it has lovely views and plenty of seating both inside and out. A varied menu and also turns into a a Thai restaurant. Plenty of locals seem to frequent this "café" which is usually a good sign. We have enjoyed our visits here.
