I recently visited this cozy cafe, at first glance, seemed to have everything going for it—charming decor, a warm atmosphere, and what appeared to be a great spot for a relaxing gathering with friends. Unfortunately, my overall experience was far from relaxing and ended up being stressful and disappointing.
When I arrived with a large group, I went to the cashier to place my order, expecting to pay right away, as is typical in most cafes. Despite being the first in line, I was left waiting for several minutes to be served. When I finally explained to the waiter that I wanted to pay immediately to avoid any mix-ups, especially since we were a large group with different orders, he assured me that he would bring the bill to me later. I insisted on paying then and there, but he again told me to wait, promising to provide the bill in just a few minutes. This didn’t make sense to me, but I reluctantly agreed.
As expected, those few minutes turned into the entire duration of our visit, and when I finally went to settle the bill before leaving, there was a big mix-up. I had ordered a salad, a latte, and two strawberry juices, so imagine my surprise when the owner presented me with a bill totaling JOD 25! When I questioned the amount, she began listing items I hadn’t ordered, including orange juice and infused tea. I explained that those weren’t mine, but she insisted that since it was part of our group's order, I was responsible for paying it.
This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I had made it clear from the start that I wanted to avoid this very situation. To make matters worse, one of my friends had already paid for the tea and orange juice that the owner was trying to charge me for. Sorting this out took over 20 minutes, during which the owner was adamant that I pay for something I didn’t order.
To top it all off, the service throughout our visit was painfully slow, and the attitude of two male waiters was nothing short of rude. At one point, while I was still eating my salad and chatting with a friend, a waiter came over and took my plate without asking if I was finished—even though there was still food on it! This lack of courtesy was the final straw.
Overall, while the cafe’s interior may be inviting, the experience was anything but. The unprofessional handling of orders, the slow service, and the rude behavior from the staff have ensured that I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for a pleasant and stress-free dining experience, I would recommend...
Read moreWe are a frequent customers since it was a referral from a colleague at the embassy however the Last few times when we went to chapter 9 our experience was so bad although we only order a Turkish coffee which was sooooo heavy and 80% of it was coffee and 20% syrup the latte was very light and bad The cake wasn't fresh at all Not to mention that the other times before that there were always mistakes with the food Today 08/13 at 8:38 pm we went there to give the place another chance and we did call 45 min before around 7:45 we went and they didn't answer the phone and didn't get back to us.
When we walked in the tall guy was soooo damn rude and was hinting to the other person in the kitchen not to welcome us, denied the call with stupid excuse and didn't even say welcome and said sorry we are all reserved and sent us out!!!! Not to mention that only 2 tables were occupied and other customers who were leaving offered us their tabel!!

Read moreUnfortunately, our experience was very bad due to the way the owner treated my wife. She refused to let her in, claiming there were no available tables and that a prior reservation was required, even though the reality was the opposite.
The same situation happened several times in previous years during our vacations in Jordan. To verify this, we tried making a reservation by phone just a few minutes later, and it turned out there were available tables and the booking was accepted easily. We tried again a few hours later and again, it was simple and a reservation was available.
However, when my wife went in personally, she was treated in an entirely unacceptable manner, and the owner told her she should have made a reservation three weeks in advance!
This behavior strongly makes us suspect that the repeated refusal was because my wife wears a niqab! This is completely unacceptable in a restaurant that is supposed to respect all its customers without discrimination.
I hope the restaurant’s management will reconsider how they treat their customers and ensure that everyone is respected equally, without...
