Worst dining experience ever. We ordered salad and main dishes for meal but no food was served for more than an hour. It was 9pm and we told waiters to serve salad first (multiple times), but the request was ignored. The experience was terrible hence we tried to raise hands and talk to the waiters, unfortunately waiters were chitchatting and nobody care about us. One of our teammates shouted out the issue and, shortly, the food was served.
The most terrible part is…the store owner came in after half an hour and shouted at us: three tables of customers left because of the shout without paying the bills, we need you to pay for it (we chatted with the other tables, they didn’t pay because the store manager asked them not to pay). As a tourist we tried not to escalate things, but what’s most acceptable is: the restaurant told other tables - those people screamed at us because they wait for 15mins (the reality is we’ve been waiting for an hour).
To store manager: if you see this comment. Please make things clear before shouting at your customers, I don’t know what your staff told you, but if you don’t bother to listen to your customers and threaten to call police to freak out tourists, what kind of brand and reputation are you trying to establish in Amman.
I genuinely hope it’s not the culture of Jordan (shouted at your customers when your customers have been waiting for an hour for food, and threatened to call police to handle conflicts), among the 20+ countries I have visited it’s the worst dining experience...
Read moreWe have been here a couple of times, and his has been very good and very chill each time. The view is nice, and the atmosphere is very inviting. This is a place to come for some quality time, not a quick bite. Heaters and a real wood fire make this space very nice in colder weather; definitely warm enough to remove coats and still be very warm.
The food has a great variety, and is very good. Great price for filling and delicious food. We've so far tried: The Lamb (great!), The lemon chicken (great!!), The Maza breakfast plate (good!), Hummus (good!), Falafel (great!), and Turkish coffee (good, but small) 12-31 Chicken Creme and Old View Chicken Cashew, both very good and very creamy. Served with some amazing bread. The bread is always really good, possibly made in house. Worth it to come for just an order of bread and hummus. [We'll keep updating this with new things tried]
Staff have been very friendly, but not in your business. Very relaxed, and even add to the chill atmosphere; but also around whenever you need anything. You pay at the front, and they take visa and cash.

Read moreWe decided to go here for a nice evening and some hot drinks. It has a lovely view over Jordan and it's full of cute decorations. All in all the atmosphere is lovely. We ordered some simple things like a juice, a coffee with milk, a local drink called sahleb, a juice and a water. Even though it was barely half full it took the waiters over 50 minutes (!) to deliver our drinks. In the meantime they had served most of the other tables and even brought food. But we were assured that they didn't forget about our order. We were about to leave the restaurant because at this point we might as well just drink something at home when they delivered our drinks. But the water was missing and the coffee didn't have milk. When we asked for the milk it took them 30 minutes again to deliver it so by that time the coffee was finished.
So if you are looking for a nice view and aren't that serious about enjoying the food or drinks you ordered then this is the perfect place for you. Otherwise just...
