Paul — Restaurant in Almaty

Honestly, I was a bit let down by the food here.

I ordered the American breakfast, expecting the baby potatoes listed on the menu, but got big chopped ones that were cold, kinda felt like they were from the day before. Asked the server to sort it out, and the chef just warmed them up a bit. Still not great. Sent it back again and they came back over fried and pretty dark.

Also got the crock with salmon and the chicken pasta, both portions were super small, id call them baby size meals. (tiny amount of salmon inside, salmon wasn’t that fresh)

And instead of arugula that was supposed to come with the crock, I got chopped salad. Just felt a bit careless overall.

I already knew Paul's was the McDonald's of French food so I didn't go in with high expectations but this was pretty terrible. It took forever to get my meal and when I finally did I understood why: the salmon was frozen. They must have taken it out to thaw when I placed my order. The service was terrible but I can't really blame the servers, they were packed full of customers, every table was full and they only had two servers working. They were overwhelmed. We came to the place and expected a good service but we didn’t see any service at all. There is nobody welcoming you and showing you tables or guiding you around. We asked waiters do you have free table they all say I don’t know. We went to to classier lady and asked the same she said that she doesn’t know. Then another waiter finally said that this table is available. It took also so long for a waiter to come and take the orders and it took so long also for the order to arrive. Totally...
