Test of India – A Mixed Experience in Almaty

I visited Test of India and ordered the Aloo Paratha with raita, Veg Pulao, and a cup of masala tea. To be honest, the food was quite simple—nothing particularly special, but not bad either. It felt more like a basic meal than an authentic Indian culinary experience.

The good part is that it wasn’t expensive, which was a pleasant surprise considering the prices I had expected. So, if you’re just curious to say you’ve tried Indian food in Almaty, this place will check that box.

However, I personally wouldn’t recommend it to others looking for flavorful or standout Indian cuisine. That said, it’s possible other dishes on the menu might be better, so if you’re interested, it might still be worth trying once.

मैं टेस्ट ऑफ इंडिया गया और वहाँ आलू पराठा विद रायता, वेज पुलाव और एक कप मसाला चाय ऑर्डर की। सच कहूं तो खाना बिल्कुल साधारण था — न तो बहुत अच्छा था और न ही बुरा। ऐसा लगा जैसे एक बेसिक खाना खाया हो, किसी खास भारतीय स्वाद की उम्मीद नहीं पूरी हुई।

अच्छी बात ये रही कि खाना महंगा नहीं था, जो कि मेरी उम्मीद से बेहतर था। तो अगर आप बस ये कहना चाहते हैं कि आपने अलमाटी में इंडियन फूड ट्राय किया है, तो यह जगह उस हिसाब से ठीक है।
