Al Majlis is the best restaurant for two types of eaters. Those that enjoy seating by the table and those that prefer to enjoy a meal with friend and family in a more private set up on a low table, this is a very nostalgic way of eating while seating down. Majlis is an arabic word meaning a place to seat or sitting. The food is also given an Arabic word mandi/mandhi this is a traditional delicacy from Yemen and is made of meat, rice and spices. This delicacy is trending in mombasa. Come treat yourself to a plate of Mandi....

First it is location is advantageous away from the noise of the C.B.D but not too far away. Second the setting of the place is BEAUTIFUL, the decor gives you a good feel of an Arabian culture as you can choose to sit on a chair or go old school in cushions provided. You get QUICK SERVICE and most importantly they have BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED SUMPTUOUS MEALS.Totally loved it and enjoyed myself here. Only problem is that they only serve lunch... would have been a good place to go with your significant other...

I liked the Arabic setting of the majlis where you sit down on cushions in cubicles. You can close the curtains for privacy. They have tables as well if you don't feel like sitting down close to the floor. The food is nice. Special is mandi. It could be nicer with maybe some more theme...
