Booked the private space weeks before the event day to only find out it was given to a bigger group 😑

I had physically come to Red Ginger earlier this month to reserve the private space for a birthday party. Mildred was very helpful, she showed me the venue and made the reservation. I had seen when she placed my booking into the system that there were no other parties reserved for that particular space.

Went today to reconfirm a few other details and was told by the supervisor that there was another booking at the same time for that space for a bigger group. When Mildred opened up the system to see the issue, to our surprise we saw that this booking was apparently made before mine (even though weeks ago I had personally seen on the tablet that my reservation was the only one for that private space). Fyi the supervisor didn't seem too bothered about this. Mildred however, was helpful and tried to find an alternative, which was to take a banda but I had specifically mentioned I didn't want that for this party. I believe the booking system is flawed as it doesn't show the date of when the reservation was made nor who on their team made it. So in case, if there is an issue like this, they know who is accountable. It's a shame that a larger group reservation was more important to the management. I understand you want to make money, but it's the principle that I had made that booking before.

I've decided to cancel my booking and take the birthday party elsewhere. For future reference they should ask for a deposit to hold a space and give a...

Red Ginger is a fantastic dining destination, especially for those who appreciate the art of well made dishes with an exquisite blend of spices. The restaurant offers a vibrant and flavorful experience, with every dish showcasing an exceptional balance of bold flavors. The food is cooked with fresh ingredients and unique spice combinations, ensuring each bite offers something special. The person making the food understands balancing of the spices. Whether you're in the mood for a savory curry, tangy appetizers, or flavorful stir-fries, the menu offers a delightful array that’s sure to please any palate. The ambiance is perfect for a mature crowd, with a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxed conversation and enjoyment of a meal. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time and appreciate both the food and the company. The bar is separated from the restaurants so you can enjoy football at the bar. The service at Red Ginger is also top-notch, with attentive staff who strike the perfect balance between being helpful and giving you space to enjoy your dining experience. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer suggestions or explain any dish, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. Overall, Red Ginger is a solid choice for anyone who loves amazing food with a perfect mix of spices, enjoys a refined atmosphere, and appreciates excellent service. It’s a great spot to spend time with friends or family or to celebrate a...

I've been here twice, the first time I liked it, Especially their chicken tikka which was a surprise as I love butter chicken and wanted to go back . However the second time, which was an hour close to their closing time, we wanted to just pass by and get take outs instead of ordering online. As we passed the kitchen area we asked a waitress whether it would be possible and the kitchen confirmed we could order. So we decided to go look for a place to sit and get a drink as they prepared the meal. It was a cold night and I could see there were empty tables and a few people in the enclosed area, so I asked whether we could wait in there. The waitress who was attending to us happened to ask her supervisor, or the lady in charge of that area if it was possible, the lady responded to her and us rudely, I think she was called Linet. I stood my ground and had to let her know that I wasn't gonna sit outside in the cold when I could clearly see several empty tables. We were there to spend our money and not hers. At this point my husband was so pissed , the waitress, I wish I could remember her name, a chocolate , round faced, kind lady and the supervisor was a dark skinned lady, tried her best to talk to us to just sit inside and forgive her supervisor's behaviour. It was only because of her that we were able to get drinks and wait for our food. There's no tip that was enough for how she handled the...

Ambience: 4/5 Lots of indoor and outdoor space. We were there on Xmas Day and even though it was packed, there was enough parking and seating. Price: 3/5 For the amount paid, the food quality should have been much better. Food: 3/5 Butter chicken was good and so were the roasted potatoes and the grilled chicken. The breads were so underwhelming...tough, chewy and flat. That was the naan and romali roti. Service: 1/5 We made a reservation and we were quickly seated but the table was dirty. We had to ask them to take away the dirty cutlery. We waited for almost half an hour to get a menu, after reminding them that we had not been served. As we were eating, a lady staff came to ask us if we could move to a different table so that our table can be combined with another as a big group had just walked in. We would have obliged if we had not yet been served but as we were in the middle of our meal, we declined. We found that unprofessional. We waited for an hour to get the bill. All in all, we might still visit as we assumed all the issues are due to it being a very busy day.

The ambience was gorgeous!. Food was delicious but our drinks and desert were not the correct order. I asked for devilish chocolate, I received 3 scoops of ice cream, my sister also order a brownie with something else but instead received a hard brown with two scoops of ice cream. Regarding our drinks, I asked for the strawberry mocktail and my sister had the kiwi mint. All they did is blend those and served it to us. Mine tasted like yogurt. I was in fact very disappointed in the customer service of this restaurant. We came 30mins before closing which was at 10:30pm. We weren’t allowed to sit inside. No one checked in on us, had to raise our hands few times or call on waiter just to have someone to come to our table. I’ve never had any issues with any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Any issue was solved right there and then. I just wanted to have delicious food and go home but our overall experience was horrible. Customer service need to do better because the restaurant wasn’t closed until 12:40ish am.

The experience was amazing! There was plenty of parking to begin with. Right from the start, the ambiance was very warm. We had made reservations prior which made it easier to find a table. The place was quite busy so I'd recommend making reservations in good time. The menu was quite exhaustive with different varieties of food; both Veg and Non Veg options and drinks. I loved that the portions were good. One portion would ideally be enough for 2 people. The noodles were very tasty! I would highly recommend them. I also loved that they catered well for young kids with the high chairs and a kid friendly Menu. All in all, it was a great place to wind down the year with family. An evening full of bad puns, warm vibes and love round the table. A Red evening. I hope you see what I did there. 😉 Enjoy your Red Ginger Experience.
