Experience the delights of Cafe Maghreb at the Nairobi Serena, a place where culinary traditions from around the world come together. This all-day dining restaurant offers a buffet breakfast and lunch with flavours from across the globe, as well as a delightful dinner menu. Step into Cafe Maghreb and be greeted by the irresistible scents of the Patisserie. Here, you can savour a delightful array of French pastries, American muffins, and more. Pair them with a variety of teas, coffee specialities, or indulge in some authentic Italian gelati, shakes, and sundaes. The name "Maghreb" itself carries a sense of adventure, as it means 'West of the setting sun or sunset' in Swahili or Arabic. The restaurant's décor transports you to the Moroccan streetside stalls with their mud style architecture. As you explore the restaurant, you'll find yourself in a world of rich traditions. Taste the spiced aromatic Kahawa (coffee) poured from ornate brass or copper urns, reminiscent of bustling emporiums and bazaars filled with intricate carpets and exquisite metalwork. But Cafe Maghreb is not just about coffee; it's a fusion of cuisines from the 'West' and the 'East' in a lively and informal setting. On the day of the visit, the culinary celebration commenced with a starter featuring a delightful bowl of butternut soup garnished with toasted brown bread and a dollop of butter. Succulent pork chops accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and an assortment of garden-fresh vegetables, all enhanced by a delectable chunky apple and cinnamon sauce defined the main course. To round off this gastronomic adventure, a non-alcoholic dawa cocktail was served, boasting a blend of eight carefully curated ingredients, including cinnamon, zesty lemon, and aromatic ginger. This dawa stands as the most indulgent one experienced in Kenya to date. If you know of one that surpasses this culinary delight, please do share in the comments below.

Classy restaurant. Good location Ample parking. Food is very tasty. One of the best places I’ve eaten seafood in Nairobi. The lobster 🦞and giant prawns🍤are to die for. Mushroom soup also heavenly. Points of improvement 1. Please broaden selection of wines 2. Please improve smell in the toilets.

The sea food Friday was quite disappointing... overcooked seafood, was expecting more variety both in the buffet as well as the desserts. My guest was not impressed especially since it was a birthday.

It was a bit hit and miss for us. I enjoyed the prawns very much but my girlfriend's salmon was a bit overcooked and thus not that tasty. Some of the finishing touches were missing. At this price point and this nice a setting I think water should come in glass rather than plastic bottles.

It was good enough but could certainly be...
