Argenti Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Nairobi

Lovely place tucked around in a secluded area. The ambience is amazing and it's just a breath of fresh air (literally). They also have a cute garden area and the lawn is nicely manicured. They have a nice food and drinks selection, moreso the drinks. Food options aren't as wide especially with the main dishes but their Oriental pork chops and chicken curry are to die for. They're key on presentation as well so you're assured that your food tastes as good as it looks. I should have taken pictures but I was too busy eating, I'll make a point next time. It has more of a mature crowd, so don't go there if you're looking for hype. But if you're looking to relax and just unwind in a place with minimal distractions then this is the place for you. The waiting time is however a bit long and maybe they can try and work on that. Ordered the spaghetti bolognese. After about 25 minutes I reminded the waitress to make sure it was coming. 5 minutes later the chef comes over to the table to inform me they have ran out of spaghetti pasta! You would have thought they could have done this earlier. The chef highly recommended the seafood linguini pasta. What a disappointment! The dish had at most 3 mini shrimp and 1 piece of rubbery fish. For this they charge $14.

The supervisor doing his rounds asked me how everything went. I told him the same story and how disappointing the whole experience was. He was very understanding and empathetic. However, he did not bother to make amends for the lousy service and very disappointing so-called "seafood" dish.

I'm always looking for a good place to work away from home so I tried Argenti Restaurant, State House, as I'd been here previously for drinks.

In terms of working from the restaurant, I give it a 4 star. The space is good, it's not crowded so you can work in peace, the tables are well distanced and you can choose from various seating locations as each has a charging power point closeby. WiFi was also good and you can choose between to user accounts should one drop off. But I didn't get any problems.

I also enjoyed a lunch meal and dawa which were both perfectly presented and tasty.
