The Collective Restaurant, situated on the ground floor of View Park Towers along Utalii Street in the CBD, provides Nairobians with an experience that goes beyond food. While most modern restaurants in the city nowadays integrate art in their interior decor, The Collective has taken the concept a notch higher. Every art piece hanging on this restaurant's walls is on sale! So you can easily finish your food and go home with your purchased treasure. Barely a week has passed since the two-year-old establishment reopened COVID-19 forced its closure. A lot has changed since - the live band is gone, social distancing has shrunk its space, but quality and class still remain - only significantly cheaper! You now get to enjoy the same unequalled experience at much-reduced rates (apparently they shall stay that way!). Try their Hydrabad Mutton Biryani with a remarkably large serving of Vanilla shake. Read moreI would classify this space as an "intimate space", the second I have been to this month of December,2019. From the entrance, you are welcomed by big bold letter with " ART,MUSIC,FOOD" and when you get in,you get the reason why. Shortly after we sat,we were offered two menus to look at,one a beverage menu, ranging from hot, alcoholic, nonalcoholic and cold fizzy drinks and the other one for food with a wide range of pizza, burgers and other foods. Their customer service is top notch and they make you really feel welcome. As for the price, its moderately higher but affordable...

My friends and I really enjoyed the music, and so did other guests that night. The ambience is great, but I thought I'd see more artwork than what was on display. It just seemed like the usual decor found in other restaurants instead of an "art gallery" as promised. Again, things have been different post-pandemic. All in all, I give this place 5 stars because the experience was...
