The Broadwood Kilimani — Restaurant in Nairobi

Very rude staff. Got into the club at midnight, got a dingy corner because it was already crowded. Ordered carbonated water, and my friend a soda. We both don't take alcohol. Nobody told us they don't sell those. Two waitresses just listened and left. I genuinely thought they were too busy to serve us on time for more than 30 minutes. Then came the huge bouncer that was nearby watching us. We got told that we can't have a table with just soda and water. So we took our stuff and left. Bouncer followed us outside to tell his colleagues at the entrance that he had kicked us out because we couldn't buy alcohol and we're not allowed in again 😏 Petty. Primitive. Took over 1 hour to get our food (for 3 people), only allowed one round of drinks, after we put our order in the waitress never stopped by again. Customer service was so bad I had to go find our waitress and ask her to bring our food out. Atmosphere? There were 6 tables occupied in the entire place on a Saturday at 1800… and to top it off the order, when it did come out, was wrong but the waitress disappeared.

This has now become my official meeting place. They have a VIP room you can book for those private meetings with clients. The staff are super courteous,always welcoming with a smile, and they make a note of client's preferences for future service.

My favourite food on their menu is the Empire Burger, which is not only delicious but filling as well.
