Located in the heart of Nairobi, the Phoenician Restaurant offers a delightful journey into Lebanese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance welcomes you with warm colors and traditional decor that transport you to the Mediterranean. The menu at Phoenician is a testament to authenticity and quality. Start your meal with a selection of mezze, including classics like hummus, tabbouleh, and falafel, each bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The freshness of ingredients is evident in every dish, from the crispness of the fattoush salad to the tender, marinated meats grilled to perfection. One standout dish is the mixed grill platter, which offers a generous portion of lamb kebabs, chicken shish taouk, and beef kafta, accompanied by fragrant rice and grilled vegetables. The meats are tender and juicy, seasoned just right to bring out their natural flavors. Pair your meal with a refreshing wine Service at Phoenician is impeccable, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure your dining experience is memorable. Whether you're visiting for a casual lunch or a special evening out, the restaurant offers a cozy setting suitable for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. Overall, Phoenician Restaurant delivers an authentic taste of Lebanon with its delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and excellent service. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the rich flavors of Lebanese cuisine in Kenya's capital city.

The food kept a smile on my face. Everything came hot and fresh and tasted soo good. I loved the Japanese salad - one of the best salads I've ever had. Their sushi tastes really fresh and after trying it, I'm now questioning the quality of other places I've had sushi because the taste of the fish didn't come through as fresh as this one at The Phoenician. The grilled chicken wings, and, fried potatoes and the Bento box were also a great highlight of mine. I was soo full after the main course that I'm planning to come back again for dessert which looks incredibly good on display. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, especially having gone there in the evening with the ambient lighting. The soft drinks came fresh and cold. I'd like to hope there is sugar syrup available. I hadn't asked though. I just prefer a bit more sweetness in my soft drink. I desire that it's only up from here with The Phoenician. To all that is Khair (Good) for you, Allahumma Ameen. MaaShaAllah Tabarakallah❤️

This restaurant instantly transports you with its coastal vibes and a unique fusion of Lebanese and Japanese cuisine. I had Nairobi sushi and my girlfriend Prawn tempura for the very first time and we were officially hooked! We tried the Mai Tai and Negroni cocktails unfortunately, it wasn’t really our taste, but it could be because we’re new to those flavors. A bit on the sour side, but it didn’t take away from the amazing experience. The ambience is something else—you just won’t want to leave. I had so much fun taking photos; the decor is absolutely stunning. Even the washrooms are next-level. This place is truly a hidden gem. Highly, highly recommend!

I had a fantastic experience at The Phoenician this past weekend. From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. They struck the perfect balance — always available when we needed something, yet never overbearing.

I was there with three friends of diverse backgrounds and faiths, and we all felt equally welcomed and respected. One thing that really stood out was how accommodating the menu was — everyone was able to find something that fit their dietary or religious needs with ease, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

We ordered the chicken salad along with a few other dishes, and everything arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. The presentation, flavours, and freshness were top-notch — clearly made with care.

The space is beautiful and perfect for snapping a few casual photos with friends. The staff were kind enough to offer help with photos, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Highly recommend The Phoenician if you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a genuinely inclusive atmosphere. I can’t wait to introduce my friends & family to...

During these Covid times, when social distancing is paramount, The Phoenician in Westlands, Matundu Lane, offers the perfect venue for a nice, uncrowded afternoon out.

A friendly but professional waiter welcomes you at the door with a warm greeting, and a squirt of (good) sanitizer for your hands. They then proceed to show you to your table (you can book a table in advance), which they first sanitise before seating you. I was genuinely impressed by their attention to detail on the whole cleanliness/health approach! Kudos for that!

As far as ambiance goes, it's not spectacular but it's relaxing & their food is great, especially if you're a sea food lover. The tempura prawn starter is to die for, and their mixed platter is quite a treat. They also offer an assortment of soft & alcoholic drinks. Prices are relatively fair & the service is excellent!

And, if you want to take the kids along, they have a kiddie play area, complete with jungle gym to keep the little ones entertained.

I'd definitely recommend this place. I know I will...
