Manyatta Resort & Disco Lounge — Restaurant in Ukunda ward

As I now live close to the area, I thought I'd try it for a new local. They waitresses all look like their mother just died, no smiles anywhere. About 5 guests in a place big enough for 200. I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara, thinking that would be easy. 45 minutes later I was told there is no bacon. I said can the chef use mushrooms instead. A half hour later I was asked if I wanted another drink and I pointed out that I had been waiting over an hour. The manager arrived to tell me that someone had been sent to get bacon (!) from the shops, and it would now be 5 minutes for my food. After 15 minutes, my plate arrived. On it, a congealed, almost cold mess. I tried to eat it as I was starving, but had to send it back to get it warmed up. Another ten minutes, and the plate came back with slightly warmer food on it. I ate it because I was now fed up. It tasted bland, the spaghetti were overcooked and mushy - but I get it: not an Italian restaurant. Nobody checked on me to ask how it was - I guess they were afraid. Didn't get a penny off after the one-and-a-half hour wait either. BTW this was 6pm. Yes, itis a disco bar, but I didn't see anyone dancing between 6 and 7.30pm when I left. The music was blasting so loud that the waitresses had to lean down to get their ear to my mouth to hear me shouting. Overall, a very unpleasant experience, I won't be back. Don't waste your time...

I liked the place and music but... TERRIBLE SERVICE My boyfriend ordered, they ignored. Then I order and someone listen and leave. The second waiter listen and finally serve the drinks. 2nd trial: I want to order nyama choma and they say I have to wait for "my waiter" that I do not remember who is her. Then after waiting a lot losing my time for nothing because I ask again and then they tell me that I have to go to the butchery to ask. The guy in the butchery is disgusting, no smile, very rude. The meat was pure gum. It is very sad unhappy people make this place unpleasant for people that invest them holidays and spend money to have a nice time but find this kind of things. Bad customer service. Felt like the waitress was annoyed we showed up.There were flies everywhere, the place was unhygienic. Stray cats and dogs everywhere making it difficult to even sit down and eat. We had to wait upwards of 45 mins for the food, where, in the meantime other people who came after where served and left before us. And the waitress added 500 KES on the bill for the food on top of the menu price, which by the way, doesn’t even taste remotely edible.
