Tandoori Baharini lounge — Restaurant in Ukunda ward

Beware of being scammed by the staff here.... I'm travelling from abroad and attended an event at this place after my friend's wedding. The bouncers all began trying to extort funds from me with the final straw being them scamming me.

A bouncer approached me and begged me to buy him 2 cans of redbull, one for his colleague, one for himself. Feeling bad for him and understanding how hot is gets, I said ok and he led me to the bar. I purchased 2 cans of redbull from him for 800ksh and he happily took them. Within 5mins I noticed a waiter returning to the bar with 2 frosty redbull cans and he winked at the bartender as he returned them. The bartender then proceeded to make eye contact with the bouncers I had just bought the 2 redbulls for acknowledging the scam worked. Within 2minutes I walked over to the bouncer and asked him where his redbull went because I needed a chaser. That's when he panicked and hurriedly replied he shotgunned it down. His friend who extorted me ran downstairs to avoid me. I looked at the bouncer after and said "Don't think I didn't see what you did there." For the rest of the night he wasn't able to make eye contact, nor even talk to me because of the guilt he displayed.

I don't think the place is for you especially when you are alone and a Kenyan. I went here and let me you a story, I stayed here for 15 minutes without service. The waiter was just behind me and was actually watching me as I sat. In my attempt to signal to them I was there, they looked the other way. Finally, one of the waiter was headed in my direction and I called her. She was TIRED. like it was a mistake to invite her to serve me. I gave her my order and she was like you have to pay first which I did. Then she brought my order and she told me I be OK with drinking from the bottle. I had no choice but to agree. Other customers who were not so kenyan they were served with exceptional customer service from arrival. I am not complaining because I will definitely go back, this time more prepared for disappointment. After sitting for about 45 minutes i was again told the table was reserved and i have to move. VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK, NOT SAFE!!! We got assaulted by security (Ben I think) for having drinks somewhere close to the dance floor (as he claimed). He did not even tell us to leave, he just started ruthlessly and forcefully pushing. We were not even causing any disturbance or try to be unruly. This assault was so un-warranted for at some point it all seemed like a sponsored attack coz it all came from nowhere. What makes it worse is a full sized man forcefully pushing a lady when there are female security to do that. He didn't stop there, he grabbed our drinks and poured them. At some point I was grabbed by the hair. Management did not seem to care. One of my lady friends was pushed to the floor for asking what's wrong and got a scratch on her forehead.
