huge complaint to the PE department, my daughter had a freshly pierced helix which typically takes up to a year to fully heal. the pe department would not negotiate with my daughter and told her if she did not take it out it would close, my daughter tried asking if she could wear the clear plastic retainer earrings or tape it up and they did not let her participate and said that she would have to take it out by force for the next pe lesson or she will have worse sanctions, my daughter asked if she could get a letter brought in by me saying its okay or if they could call me and miss titley and mr bromage refused, miss mylrea on the other hand understood my daughters concern for her piercings and let her keep all of them in since they were plastic clear retainers and her helix was taped up, teachers are very strict and school rules are seriously trash, thus school needs to recognize that the children have lives outside of school as do the teachers, when my daughter asked many of the teachers if theres a wat to keep her clear studs in they all replied with the same answer, saying she shouldnt have pierced them in the first place since she has school, who are they to dictate our children’s bodies? and say what they should and should not do, if the parents are okay with it it should not escalate this far just to maintain the image of the school, two earrings will not harm anyone, this school does not care about the students wellbeing and does not let them express themselves with hair jewelry or even earrings, and they do not have a right to tell my daughter what she can or cannot wear on her EARS it sounds so silly saying out loud honestly grow up, i would understand if they had vibrant colored dangly earrings but studs should be absolutely allowed they are not changing anything about the schools image and its extremely childish of them being upset about an earring, please do better or i will absolutely try anything and everything in my power to try and close this school down for its stupid petty rules and being emotionally abusive and extremely stressful to the children, giving homeworks on the FIRST day of...

Outstanding BSO report and very high results for IGCEs and A Levels.Nice family atmosphere among teachers and students. Very classy parents. Quite strict on discipline which is a bonus nowadays. The staff are nurturing, enthusiastic, creative and are clearly dedicated to maximizing each child’s potential. This past few years NES has started to catch up in terms of technology and offers more electronic communication than before with a parents’ portal and google classroom apps. It has a good variety of ECAs and most for free however NES sport facilities are lacking somehow ( no swimming pool / restricted basement gym area with outdated equipments). School is in need of a good refurb especially in Secondary as the state of the class furniture is not befitting such a prestigious school ( very ancient desks, uncomfortable chairs and bare walls) and the science labs are stuck in the 80’. However these are minor points if you consider their fees are very reasonable and teachers professionalism is very high. I rather have my children learn in a caring and high achieving environment than a showcase classroom. Competition for places starts from KG and priority is given to siblings so if u ever consider applying for your first born I suggest you do your research and get all paperwork done and submitted early on and know exactly what your 3/4 years old is going to be asked in the entry test ( BTW parents are not allowed in). Overall I’m so grateful I’ve found this school and my children have flourished in their loving care for the past 10 years.
