Nothing we ordered tasted good.
Even asking for an order to be replaced was met with negativity. They didnt ask how was the food we only ate maybe 2 bites from everything.
Sad that this is the concept of the chef behind one of Kuwait’s best korean restaurants. He should know better based on the success of Kimchi and how authentic that place is in terms of korean food. I suggest the chef to look into restaurants like Kei, Amimoto, the Japanese Butchery for some inspiration in order to enhance menu offerings.
One nice thing i have to mention, they let us move to another table even when it was crowded. The decor is stunning. Very picturesque restaurant and I wish for them to improve and change 360 of their menu items.
Ramen tasted too plasticky? Beef slice and ground beef were unpleasant in flavour. Soy sauce broth had a “dettol” aftertaste. Gyudon completely uneatable… not even authentic at all just a mix of a bunch of stuff and sauces. Look into Sukiya, Matsuya, Yoshinoya and how they make theirs. Even the nigiri wasnt good the slices were cut oddly. The beef dumpling 🤢 were so big and overstuffed just minced meat and carmelized onion but no actual tasty flavor. Even tempuras tasted like i swallowed oil. Very dissapointing literally nothing tasted good. Not to mention all of it was overpriced our bill came...
Read moreThis is a subpar restaurant. The food quality is bad. I tried to give it another chance after a bad experience the first time. Unfortunately, this second time was worse.
I don't think this olace will last if they continue with this level.
Below is my reply to your question:
1-salmon sashimi temperature was almost frozen
2-ramen is very far from being a ramen
3-menu needs revision Two orders had ingredients that were not mentioned in the menu. For example, miso ramen had beef which wasn't in the menu. Also, in the gyudon we had fried eggs on top while the menu mentioned a boiled egg.
4-the gyudon was a disaster. The beef used is of cheap quality. It is minced beef not regular shredded gyudon beef. I personally would not pay more than 2 KD for minced beef on top of some rice. It was very bad taste-wise and value-wise.
You asked for my detailed comments. Now you have them.
In Kuwait you need to respect the customer. The customer will reciprocate. If you charge high priced food for subpar quailty food, you will receive...
