Pagrabiņš — Restaurant in Kuldīga

I really don’t care if you are just summer staff/summer worker/ summer help or workings there permanently, but you really are missing some basic customer service skills! You should welcome everyone - with kids, without kids, old, young, small or big company… I really felt not being welcomed there and I could feel tension on air! Kids’ feeding chairs were dirty, so I didn’t even want to try those. Disgusting! Waitress should know menu and things they have on offer by heart. And they shouldn’t answer with phrases like:” it’s all written there”. I am allowed to chose where to sit if there is several options available. I don’t need to hear:”Don’t sit here, otherwise we need to walk around you!” Hell, yes, it’s your work place- walk!!! Or “Go on the other side, there are also places where to sit!” Also beverages usually are served first, but obviously not in this place… Food was ordinary. Nothing special or unseen from Latvian kitchen. Prices are not worth the food quality. Definitely there are a lot of other places more worthy where to eat in such a beautiful city like Kuldiga! A very disappointing visit. Honestly, we have paid 66 euro and food was sub par at best. Both me and my wife took medium cooked steak. "Steak" was literally fried meat, I think from a beef neck, well fried. Tasted like a rubber. The side dish of french fries was basically microwaved and not fresh.

We took a portion of prawns as well, it was basically boiled prawns with a mayonnaise side. For that price I was expecting something better.

We took two cocktails - Aperol spritz, there was barely any alcohol in it. But hell of a lot of ice.

Waiters were inexperienced as well, delivering food from behind our backs.

The only good thing was the atmosphere, we were sitting outside. The music was nice and the river was a massive benefit.

And on top of that our visit cost 66 euro. Sub par, will never...

Приехали с семьёй покушать было двое детей, я и мои родители.Попросили меню на русском языке, они нас не поняли и сказали, чтобы мы говорили на английском или латышском мы сами с Англии и нам было легче говорить на английском языке.Оказалось, что они на английском тоже не говорят, но всё-таки мы договорились и меню нам принесли.Мы сделали всё-таки свой заказ и ждали его 30 минут.Еду нам так и не принесли, но стали приходить новые клиенты, которые делали заказ и им еду приносили. А мы так и оставались сидеть и ждать.Мой отец позвал официанта и спросил, В чём дело? Почему не приносят нам еду, а другим людям уже принесли. Офицантка сказала , что я не обслуживаю ваш столик, позовите другова офицанта.Мы были в полном шоке, нам только и оставалось встать и уйти оттуда.Хорошо, что рядом было ещё два красивых и вкусных ресторана, где Мы поели, потому что дети были очень голодными. Мама сказала за своих 59 лет никогда такого отношения в ресторанах к себе не чувствовала, поэтому этот ресторан никому не рекомендую!!! We came with our family to eat, there were two children, me and my parents. We asked for a menu in Russian, they did not understand us and told us to speak English or Latvian, we are from England and it was easier for us to speak English. It turned out that they did not speak English either, but we still agreed and they brought us a menu. We still made our order and waited for it for 30 minutes. They still did not bring us food, but new customers began to arrive, who made orders and their food was brought to them. And we remained sitting and waiting. My father called the waiter and asked, What's the matter? Why aren't they bringing us food, but other people have already been brought. The waitress said, I am not serving your table, call another waiter. We were in complete shock, all we could do was get up and leave. It's good that there were two more beautiful and delicious restaurants nearby where we ate, because the children were very hungry. My mother said that in her 59 years she has never felt such an attitude towards herself in restaurants, so I do not recommend this restaurant...
