Boar BBQ — Restaurant in Riga

I think these might be the best burgers and ribs in town! We took all three burgers (also vegetarian) for a taste test and all three were amazing. The buns were really soft, the burger was moist enough, everything in them was balanced. We also took ribs and chicken wings. The ribs were from heaven - soft and juicy - they melted in our mouths. The bread on the side was also tasty, I ate two slices 😂 Chicken wings also were good quality, they weren't dry which is case with many wings. They serve only few drinks (cola and some other cola company drinks) but if you want to have beer or something stronger next doors is Nurme that they collaborate with. You even can order Boar BBQ food to Nurme and eat there. We also grabbed a beer there but ate at Boar BBQ as we wanted to have full this places experience. We had the Burger and the Cili Dogs and Fries with garlic sauce.

The Burger was super tasty from the first bite. The meat is incredibly tasty and the sauce is so creamy, that it was just pure pleasure to eat that burger!

The Cili Dog, which is a weird and kind of messy combination of chili con carne and a hot dog, is HUGE and TASTY. As it's a mix of "something" it never gets boring to eat and even if you're full, you just want to finish it, because it is so tasty and juicy and just great!

The fries were not amazing, but still very good and the garlic sauce was fresh and tasty, so it was a nice contrast to the main dishes.

We ate at the Bar next Door (Nurma) where you can have a nice selection of craft beer.

A nice little bbq place recently opened on Avotu street, right next to Nurme beer. If i remember correctly the owners (a Latvian and a Georgian) both are working in the kitchen. And when talking about the food, oh my...I like places were the menu is quick and easy, nothing overcomplicated, better to focus on a couple of specialities and that is what Boar BBQ dies. The chicken was melting in my mouth and the fries were really dirty (in the best sense), and the Louisiana sauce - be careful if you think you like hot sauces, this is not Latvian hot, it's proper hot 😅 we will go back as we still habe to try the sausages and ribs!!
