Dolce Vita — Restaurant in Ventspils

Oh my gosh! The lady that was at the counter was so rude to us! My friend and I only speak English, though we are respectful and obviously don't expect anyone to speak English, though we do ask if they do, if not we work it out. My friend had asked the lady if she spoke English, she just stuck her nose up, huffed and puffed, gave some shocking looks and turned away. We then just asked if we could have a menu, we can then google translate if it's not in English, the lady again made some noises, a lot of comments we obviously didn't understand, gave us so much attitude it was disgusting. She then got a menu and kind of threw it down on the counter.

This "restaurant" deserves zero stars. We ate here 3 years ago and we're pleasantly surprised, so decided to visit it during this vacation in Ventspils again. We arrived at 17.30 and ordered 2 small pizza's, baked chicken fillet and baked fish fillet with French fries. The staff told that these simple meals would be ready AFTER 2,5 hours because it was too busy ! The restaurant was empty, we were the only guests. We just left without eating and do not intend to return. It surprises me that Dolce Vita is not bankrupt yet. Their menu is fine, location is good too, but nobody speaks English and it takes them hours to make...

Very unfriendly place including the staff. When we asked to remove a topping from pizza it was bluntly refused and said we dont this place should be avoided. Also the wairess was bringing clean cutlery to the front and instead going to the front counter to distribute in the correct container she stood behinf the counter and touched the cleaned forks and knifes with her fingers this is very clear they dont care unhygienic.
