Meisons — Restaurant in Ventspils

In the 5 years that I live in Latvia I have never seen a restaurant that ticks all the boxes. The staff was very friendly and helpful which is extremely rare for Latvian restaurants. The food was excellent and very well-priced. The flavours were very balanced and the presentation of the food matched that of high-end dining in Dubai. The desert was the highlight of the experience and I can still not figure out how the parsnip bar was made. Compliments to the chef and the whole team, which is very well trained. The atmosphere was very nice, with views to the pier and beautiful seating arrangements.

We also received a complementary homemade bread and a mimosa when we arrived which was a very pleasant surprise. I would return to Ventspils only to visit this restaurant.

If I could offer advice to make the experience even better I would recommend to put tablecloths on the tables and fix the broken...

So we have been here today for the first time, but have to say that RIBS were not ribS it has been just 1 rib! and a tiny bit of salad. And all that was for 25 weuros. Hot dogs 🌭 are so small that even for child it was not enough, sausage was bigger than the bread its been 1/3 of regular small baguette 🥖. Had a nice discussion with waitress and highlighted our points and hopefully 🤞 that information will help to sort that out because she actually agreed with us.
