i don't even know why they don't clean or wash their utensils, i had to change my plate twice because it wasn't clean at all. not just that, but everything was dirty but safely the cups weren't since we were served water poured in cheap plastic cups you use for picnics( at least those were clean). we also had a peek to the kitchen and not to our surprise, the staff was not using nor gloves or hair nets, since we found a piece of hair in the food. we also tried to finish our food with some jasmine tea, but the porcelain tea pot was all crusty and had a yellow color same with the cups that we were supposed to drink it in. the food was also not that good, the fish tasted rotten, and the food arrived in not less than 5 mins which means that they were pre-cooked and microwaved. finally , when we arrived , we politely asked the lady at the reception to be seated upstairs but she replied with an awful tone and wasn't friendly at all. I've never paid 30$ in a restaurant and received this level of treatment . either fix this place,...
Read moreNever going back to this place! I've been going to Hao Hao for 10 years, and it used to be my favorite chinese restaurant in Lebanon. During my last visit which was about 3 weeks ago, I went to have dinner there with friends and ordered my usual. Everything was fine at the beginning and we were enjoying our food. Suddenly, as we are starting with the 4th platter we had ordered, my friend stopped eating and looked at us with a very serious face. We asked him what was wrong, he pointed out to his plate, and to my surprise his plate had a COCKROACH in it. We called the waitress and showed her the plate, her reaction was: "Ah sorry, let me change your plate and give you another sauce". That's it. Nothing else. No one from the management or kitchen came to apologise and we were billed all full amount. Unacceptable and disgusting! I'm so disappointed and I'm never...

Service (2/5): there was no one at the reception and we stood there for while before we headed upstairs. The waiter is efficient but not that friendly.
Place (1/5): there were so many red flags, including damp walls, rusty salt shakers and door handles, and ripped out leather seats.
Food:
Vegetable spring rolls (1/5): oily and had zero flavour what so ever. Sesame shrimp toast (2/5): looks good but oily and doesn't pack any flavour. Curry puffs (3/5): they were super oily but the flavour was there. Although it tasted more like Soujouk than curry.
Noodles with vegetables (2/5): fresh noodles, but would they cut them into small strips?? It's bland beyond imagination.
Si Chuan beef (3/5): pretty legit, but not even close to being spicy. The sauce packs some flavour, but the meat cuts are disastrous.
The only thing I'd give 5/5 is their hot sauce. Mild, delicious...
