When you walk in, the smell is shocking. During difficult times, we make it a point to visit and support local busonesses. Roadster is one of my favorite places. The food and service were impeccable. With the crisis it is understandable that the variety is down. After all businesses are trying their best to survive. Unfortunately, the branch in the Jal El Dib/Zalka Area stinks. They leave the door between the smoking section and the rest of the restaurant open. They don't like to close it because they have to move food across. We sat there and I spoke to the gentleman that came to our table. He said they would close the door but they did not. The restaurant was anyway so stinky it was difficult to stay. I decided to wait and see if the smell would get better. The door remained open. They were visibly annoyed that someone was trying to change how things are done. We did not want to annoy anybody so we left and on our way out the gentleman said thank you with a smile. It was ironic. The law in Lebanon states that smoking in closed spaces is not allowed. Greedy businesses try to circumvent the law by glass walling spaces and considering them as indoor spaces. The same situation happened in Roadster City mall a few years back. Sorry Roadster but this is history repeating...

💰Discovery Costs: ▪️27,000 LBP / pers.
📜 Discovery Report: ASIAN CRAB NOODLES. The dressing is slighty over-acidic (lemon flavor). Also, the dressing texture is a bit granulated. The reason for that could be that the dressing is being applied on still hot and uncooled noodles.
SWEET 'N' CHILI SHRIMP. Very nice combinations of flavors, textures and tastes. Easily the favorite new salad. However, the quantity of avocados against shrimps is a bit unbalanced.
TRUFFLE CHICKEN BOURSIN. Highly competitive dish. Always asking for more of this tasty sauce in the plate.
AFTER MEAL: PASSION TWIST. Nice proposition by RD. However, the ice cubes were very small and a bit inconvenient to drink. Would have preferred a max of 2 or 3 big cubes that would eventually cool the drink and not be eaten.
🤠 Ideal for: late tasty dinners (when you feel like...
Read moreReally bad quality control, really bad management really bad costumer service. I witnessed the bartender retur a lemonade that a customer didn't like back into the container. Of course he was professional enough to remove the ice before doing so while cussing out the customer. It was the end of the shift so there two managers right infront of him but they were too busy texting anf watching a soccer match with the several other staff members while they had a full house on Sunday afternoon. Customer service called me to offer me a "bribe". A $50 coupon (less than the amount of our bill) that lasts for a month and she kept apologizing for the "inconvenience". I insisted that this is not an inconvenience and rather unprofessional behaviour that reflects this establishment's values. She still insisted that it's an "inconvenience" with a very rude tone of voice. Very bad chain and veeeeery overpriced for such bad ethics, hygiene, and lack if...
