dining at Al Beiruti Downtown, a Lebanese restaurant that lives up to its reputation for serving delicious food and commendable service in Dubai, What impressed me the most is that the standard of experience, service, and tastes are on par with their Dubai branches. It is no surprise that they brought their UAE staff to kick start this place, as it usually happens the other way around where people from Beirut go overseas to train new openings.
We are fortunate to have such a Lebanese chain that has decided to bring their Lebanese, UAE-born concept to Lebanon. In a time where many businesses are closing down or taking their concept overseas, Al Beiruti Downtown is standing strong, providing us with an authentic taste of Lebanese cuisine. It is an achievement that deserves respect and admiration.
Now, let us talk about the food. Al Beiruti Downtown has an extensive menu full of flavorsome dishes that are sure to satisfy every palate. My top three plates that I highly recommend are the cheese rolls, fatouch thin sliced with molasses, and the bird head-size beef with molasses. ( not bird just called like that :) ) There is no way you can visit this restaurant and not try these dishes.
The quality of hummus can be the determining factor when rating a Lebanese restaurant. At Al Beiruti Downtown, the hummus is exceptional and sets a high standard for starters. Another standout dish is the cherry kabab, a great choice for meat lovers. For dessert, I would recommend trying the ghazel elbaneet with mistik ice cream. It is a delightful ending to the meal and a unique twist to a traditional Lebanese sweet.
In conclusion, Al Beiruti Downtown is a must-visit restaurant for those wanting to indulge in authentic Lebanese cuisine accompanied by top-notch services. The food is second to none, and the restaurant has retained the same high standards as its Dubai branches. It is an excellent addition to Beirut's dining scene and something we can be proud of. Special thanks to Margruitte who accommodated us during a busy day, and the Courtesy of the whole staff. Looking forward to being the...
Read moreI'll give it zero star at best. We waited a solid 15 minutes for someone to come and get the order though the place was half empty at 1pm.
The still water bottle came room temp, so I asked for a second one (mentioning that I'll pay for the first one) but cold. When the cold btl came I asked the waiter, twice, to change my glass...the later just poured the cold water over the room temp glass of water.
Sfee7a had a bone, my son almost chipped his tooth.
My mom asked for an ashtray.... three times, she used a napkin instead.
Wrong order: they forgot the humus shawerma plate.
I ordered sandwiches to be delivered to my parents' driver (along with the table order), after quite some time, the waiter assured me that his sandwiches will be delivered in no time, only to discover that nothing was delivered. We were paying the bill!
When I was at the door trying to go outside to check with the driver if he got his food, an employee was standing outside and his hand on the door knob... he saw me, removed his hand and turned his back on me. I was trying to absorb all these unprofessional mistakes but the last one got me pretty angry. I just wanted to leave this place and never ever come back.
We often go to beiruti dubai hills and our last visit to beiruti dubai was at the pointe during adha eid. I can say there's a huge difference between dubai branches...
Read moreI visited this Lebanese restaurant in Beirut yesterday with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I feel it's essential to share my thoughts to help future customers make informed decisions.
Firstly, when we made the reservation, there was no mention of the restaurant not serving alcohol or "Jambon" (ham). We were surprised to find out upon arrival. This lack of transparency is inexcusable. It is the restaurant’s duty to inform customers of such significant limitations when they book a table, especially in a city wirh a vibrant culinary scene like beirut.
What was even more disappointing was their response when we inquired about this. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, they brushed it off as if it was standard practice not to mention these limitations over the phone. Customer service is about communication and understanding, and this aspect was...
