A high end sushi place which has amazing food, they have some unique and awesome maki's. I took the crispy spicy salmon salad, and it wasn't good, the sauce with the crispy flakes were just way too soggy, it seemed that that the fish was fresh, but the salad was not, especially since this salad should be made on the spot to preserve crispiness. I would also recommend that the rock shrimp comes with more sauce, since it's really dry and I always order extra sauce on the side. Everything else is good though, and I will surely go again.
---UPDATE--- Visited this place yesterday, the crunchy salmon spicy salad was soggy, the rock shrimps were fine, all the makis were drenched in mayonnaise excluding a few, and the rolls kept on breaking when trying to pick them up with a chopstick, not rolled and made properly. The salmon used here is not of a good quality, good salmon has a little bit of fat, the white lines are thin, that's the tasty salmon, now the salmon here has thick white lines, that means they've been brought in from a bad supplier which dosent let the fish swim and it affects the taste of the overall dish. Beef teriyaki was over salty, sea bass fish was perfect. This place is going bad and service is falling back too, it wasn't like...
Read moreI’ve tried many Japanese restaurants in Lebanon, but Kampai truly stands out. The moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the tone — modern, elegant, yet warm and welcoming.
The sushi quality is exceptional: fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The salmon sashimi practically melts in your mouth, and the signature rolls balance creativity with authentic Japanese flavors. I also loved the wagyu beef and the black cod — cooked to perfection with flavors that linger.
A special shout-out to Ahmed, the assistant manager, who made our dining experience unforgettable. His professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly elevated the evening. It’s rare to see such genuine hospitality, and Ahmed made us feel like valued guests from start to finish.
Service overall is attentive without being intrusive, and the staff are happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences. Prices are fair considering the premium ingredients and the overall dining experience.
If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine or just starting to explore it, Kampai should be at the top of your...
Read moreVery underwhelming. My husband and I were really looking forward to having some great sushi for our date night but unfortunately we left with half of it untouched and much to be desired. The pieces were falling apart and the flavour combinations tasted more Mexican than Japanese! And that’s not really what you want when you’re craving fresh sushi. However, the crispy salmon salad was lovely and had a nice touch of spice. Our waiter, Nour, was knowledgable and attentive. The floor manager gave us a warm welcome and was polite but unfortunately our reservation had not been recorded so we had to settle for a very awkward table with high stools. I was expecting a more sophisticated ambiance but instead it was very loud with chatter and there was no music in the background which made the chatter louder. We were also surrounded by teenagers so it felt more like a casual lunch spot than a...
