I recently had the pleasure of dining at Moon Restaurant in Birštonas and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment you walk in, you will be greeted with warm and welcoming hospitality that sets the tone for the rest of the evening.

The ambiance of the restaurant is simply stunning, with a modern yet cozy decor that creates a perfect setting for a memorable meal. The moon coloured lights are an excellent themed touch of decor that sets the mood.The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, guiding me through the menu and offering excellent recommendations.

But the real star of the show was the food. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The most unique flavour combination was the pear dessert with Stilton cheese and meringue. The steak was beautiful cooked and melted in your mouth! The ingredients were fresh and locally sourced, and you could really taste the care and attention to detail that went into each dish.

Avoid this place!

Overpriced microwave food Had chicken breast „filet mignon“ style, no taste at all and obviously frozen. The sauce already had a skin on the surface, guess it was standing for quite a while or microwave did its magic on it. Waiting for more than an hour to receive our ice cold low quality food…

Service: head waitress trying to sell as many drinks at the start as possible and never been seen again after mission accomplished. Male waiter kindly ignored our table but had all his eyes on the ladies next to us and reading their wishes without a word spoken.

Waited for our food for over an hour, one of the dishes did not arrive due to waiter's error. The wine given to us was from a different year than the one we ordered from the wine card. The only apology came with an explanation that they had an event with 70 people in the same restaurant.

In this case, I'd recommend either having more staff to cater to the needs of everyone, or not accept any reservations during the event, because the quality of stay for other guests was terrible, since the main focus was towards the event.
