Pušynė — Hotel in Birštonas

We stayed at your hotel in May. Location is perfect, with wonderful forest view, nice yard with a lot of flowers. The rooms (we booked 2 for us and for my parents) were nice, neat, clean. Everything looked good. Service was also very good. Receptionist Gintare was very efficient, friendly and helpful. During our visit we got massages. Masseuse Audrone did a very good job! I am giving 3 stars overall because of the restaurant (5 stars for the hotel and 1 star for the restaurant). We decided to have a nice dinner with my parents in the hotel's restaurant. Environment looked very nice, so we were expecting the same service and food. But... We went to restaurant about 7:30 PM. First thing that we noticed was a dirty tablecloth. We had to wait for a waitress quite a while. And the receptionist was kind enough to change our tablecloth. After we ordered our meals we waited close to 1 hour. The waitress (I believe her name was Emilija) never came to us to ask if everything OK. When we finally got our food, and were still eating, she started rushing us to order desserts. We did. A little bit later she brought our desserts and put them on another table (as we were still eating our main dishes). After we finished, the waitress didn't take our plates from the table, so we had to do it ourselves. We had to serve desserts ourselves too! When she finally came, she started rushing us again saying that the restaurant is closing at 9:00 PM and we must pay. She wasn't helpful nor friendly and pleasant. Talking about food, it was horrible - looks like somebody came from the street and cooked. Maybe it was a different cook, but breakfast was really good. All of us enjoyed the hot dishes. Would We stay there another time? Yes. But we would never eat at your restaurant again! The owners should pay more attention to hired employees personalities, ability to communicate and...

We were extremely surprized by such fantastic servise provided by hotel staff-traveling couple families with small kids we had some extra needs like early check in, option to order food and come into the restourant on specific time when it will be prepared as well e.g. some milk for the baby. Every single request was welcomed and supported immediately. Would highly recomment massage that is performed by real professionals as well as sauna reservation if you are staying with some friends, the price for privacy is more than reasonable. We have stayed on 1st floor apartments that had fab view and no stairs that was extremely convenient having small kids. Only one thing to notice-some windows from this apartment goes directly to other area-restourant-even has curtains from both sides-if you would open your courtains and someone from restourant guests on their side-you will see each other directly (the same window fir both sides) even you are in your private room. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel in summer time. Absolutely nightmare without air conditioning system in the rooms. They have tiny old fan that is placed on the floor and blown wind doesn’t even reach the bed level which is higher up. The fan works so loud. I had to turn it off as there was no chance to fall asleep in that noice. Opened window didn’t help at all. Low ceiling makes difficult to move around in the room.||Location is amazingly good, so it’s shame I cannot rate this hotel higher.
