Panama Food Garden — Restaurant in Vilnius

To start things off, I want to mention the lovely atmosphere throughout the entire place. The restaurant is located in the cozy and calm Žvėrynas district. We were seated in the greenhouse area, surrounded by greenery. It might get hot there during warmer summer days, but luckily, we visited on a really calming, rainy Monday evening. The service is very down to earth, which is refreshing, especially considering the place has a rather posh vibe with all the expensive laughter around you. Kudos to the staff for keeping it relaxed and approachable.

On the other hand, the menus could definitely be more informative and clear. For example, if you order mussels for 16 euros, make sure guests are aware that the fries that come with them are charged as an additional 3 euros. Also, please bring back the words “with chorizo” to the menu description for the grilled octopus. As a pescatarian, finding chunks of chorizo sausage in the risotto was not a pleasant surprise. I understand the umami flavor fusion it brings, but it could easily be substituted with something like shiitake mushrooms to achieve a similar depth of flavor without using meat.

Overall, it’s a great place with cozy vibes throughout. The greenhouse area is especially beautiful on rainy days, creating a wonderful ambiance with the surrounding plants and the sound of raindrops on the glass rooftop. I’m giving 4 stars only because of the two inconveniences we experienced. I hope we can make it to 5 on...

The place is hip and looks cool but overhyped. The service was not attentive or care-taking. Nobody came to the table for 15 minutes and had to take the menu ourselves. Waiters didn't ask if we wanted drinks, like water. We ordered cocktails and the waitress wanted to take them away even though the glass was still half full. After asking what ingredients were part of one dish and requesting not to put one ingredient due to the allergy, then the meal was served it still had it in the plate. Way too overpriced for the food because the quality was good but the portions were small and let's say for example having salmon salad with 5 small pieces of salmon or having tuna fillet as a main dish with 4 pieces of tuna in it is too scanty. Unfortunately they didn't bring cutlery for the desert either. So definitely not worth the experience or the money spent....

The food here is exceptional, My life was changed from dull. The tuna was the perfection, For a moment it felt fiction.

My best goes to the chef, As my broken heart is left. To this blissful place, What to miss to embrace.
