I rarely write reviews for places, but I found Don Simon service exceptionally rude, and therefore I will share our experience. We were a party of 6, and our food arrived at different times, after quite a long wait. However, 5 people had already finished their food while 1 person was still waiting for a salad (for over an hour at that point). We asked about it, and the waitress confirmed it was coming. About 10-15 minutes later, the waitress came to tell us the salad was brought to a different table, and asked whether that person was still hungry, or maybe would like to cancel the order. The person, who did not get a meal after 1.5h of waiting, simply left, as the waitress did not offer anything to her. As we were paying, the waitress found the salad on a different table (it must have stood there for a good 10-15 minutes), and brought it to us. We said the person, who ordered it, had left (to go and buy some dinner), so they packed it. After all this experience, we were still charged for that salad, which stood somewhere for 15 minutes (not sure if someone touched it, ate it) and no concessions, discounts or any offers were made to us to make up for our less than satisfactory experience, even though we made it clear that this was unacceptable. The food that arrived was good, but the overall experience of the evening was unacceptable, as eventually we spent over 1.5h there and one person did not manage...

Read moreForget the stupid chain and overrated hipster pizzerias, this pocket size pizzeria stands out above them all. It has some of the best pizzas in town (even if I personally would like them just tad bit more crisp) made in open kitchen, lively atmosphere and unparalelled service. Add some local craft beers and british ciders to the mix, affordable prices and you'll see why it's always fully packed by Žvėrynas locals and visitors from central districts. Hence, book in advance. Btw lasagna used to be fantastic, too. The only drawback is that it's so small that if something burns in the kitchen you will definitely know about it as the stench...
