Le Jardin d'Amandes — Restaurant in Echternach

The biggest disappointment from visiting a restaurant. We ordered the restaurant’s seafood menu for two, hoping to try something new and different. We were seated near the entrance, and during our time there, several large takeaway orders were prepared and handed out. Meanwhile, we received our drinks after half an hour and our first soup after an hour and a half. While we were waiting for the starter, no one came by to offer us more drinks, even though ours had long been empty. The waiters walked past us without even looking, and we had to wave our hands like a helicopter just to get their attention. When, after two hours, the starter finally arrived, it turned out to be completely tasteless. Just a greasy breading — the seafood had simply disappeared in it. The main dish was, again, fish and shrimp in the same kind of breading. We didn’t even touch the fish — it was inedible. Later, I couldn’t even manage to get the dessert included in our menu. When I explained the situation (our disappointment with the inattentive service, the bad food, and the extremely long wait) and asked for a discount, I was told that it wasn’t possible — without a single word of regret or apology. The food here is incredible. I have had both the “canard à l’orange” and the “tiger roll” sushis many times and they never disappoint. It is very tasty and the portions are generous. The “aigre-douce” sauce is the best I have ever had in my life

You can either eat outside or inside, do takeaway or even get it delivered (if you live in town). There is a car park opposite to it if you have come here by car.

The staff is very friendly and always there to help you. Combined with a very cosy and welcoming interior, this is a place I would highly recommend to dine in. If you are passing by Echternach or staying nearby, then I highly recommend you to give this restaurant a go, you will...

Just came out of the restaurant and I felt the mandatory urge to give this review. Very polite and attentive people..food is amazing...reminded me of Mauritian Chinese food. Loved every bite of it😋 I took the lamb barbecue on iron plate and my boyfriend took the peking duck. My boyfriend told me 5 stars please🤩 At the end of the dinner they offered us digestive on the house with fruits as bites. They also asked if we wanted a second one...so we did haha...loved the service , and most importantly the cosy...
