BB Chicken Rice — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

The steam chicken thigh is tasty and silky smooth. I'm not a chicken breast person but I managed to finish two pieces my wife couldn't finish without much complaint. The beansprout is the crunchy Ipoh type which tastes fresh. The beancured in the braised eggs is wrinkle soft that well absorbs the gravy. The sour spicy vegetable is cooked with duck parts, one of the traditional versions if you like it. Not to forget the house soup that is probably the best with a just sufficient touch of dried tangerine peel note. By the way it's a pity that a lot of restaurants in Malaysia have lost the essence of good old soup forgetting important ingredients like dried tangerine peel, almond, dried fig etc. Another not to miss is the barley pumpkin drink which is not Malaysian sweet, the use of rock sugar apparently gives it a more refreshing taste, the barley and pumpkin are boiled to mushy if you like...

Food is good as usual. Nowadays hard to get chicken rice like this. Even chicken breast is tender like hell. I rate low because, they seem not into business anymore. They sell lesser quantity close shop early. The feeling is like the only they care is I wan to close shop early, if possible u don't eat. Their business time is unpredictable. Sometime close at 5pm or 4pm. Sometime they off. Kinda frustrated when u reach they close. Hope their son pick it up running business as the good old day. Got a feelings they wanna close it down anytime, so if u hesitating just give it a try before...

The chicken meat is fresh, tender and tasty. Well steamed and is a good version of Hainanese chicken standard. The oil rice is fluffy and not too oily n goes well with the steam chicken. Their own house prepared gravy/ sauce and hainanese chilli is a good combination with the chicken . Other then chicken, they also have side dishes of chicken inards, debone chicken feet, vegetables and soup of the day. Soup of the day is tasty and hot. Can have free refill.
