Had a delivery order from this outlet via Foodpanda around 11:30am. (KFC, if you bother paying attention to these reviews, the SST is W10-1808-31001268). Anyway, the food arrived fast, but the chicken arrived cold. I noticed it almost immediately when the delivery guy handed the plastic bag over to me - there was no warmth coming from the box of chicken. Sure enough, I opened to box to find cold chicken - did someone forget to put the chicken under the warmer? Or did they take this batch of chicken that's been lying on the counter somewhere.
I had a meat thermometer, so I even managed to take a temperature check - 92F!?!?!! SIgh...I was angry but also hungry, so I starting eating... but...I couldn't finish my order because cold KFC chicken is so unpalatable.
I've never been given cold chicken when I order in person, I wonder...does KFC reserve its poorest service for its delivery customers? Was it because I used a coupon code for a discount, so the staff decided to not heat the chicken to compensate for the lost income? Or perhaps it was because I made some complaints before about poor quality / service, and since everything can be tracked and monitored on the internet nowadays, the outlet decided to retaliate for my previous poor rating?
Well, whatever it is, I can't help but give my recent experience a 1-star rating. Despite the fast delivery, the chicken arrived cold. I'm sure if I check with KFC standard SOP, the chicken wouldn't have met the standards set by the franchise holder. Yet, there it arrived at my doorstep, temp-check at 92F. Even the mak cik at the pasar malam wouldn't do that to me.
