I had high hopes for this place when I found out about it on social media. Some food channels were rating it pretty high. When I got my plate (the Jimat Set), it looked really good but when it comes down to food, you come back for the taste. Fair to say that I personally won’t be coming back here. The kuah was bland, where the predominant taste was merely ‘spicy’. Veges are pretty standard so I don’t see the point of saying anything about that. The chicken was seasoned quite ok on the outside, but without the outside crust, tastes pretty bland. I thought I was being too harsh about this but my brother was with me and he was disappointed as well. It wasn’t totally inedible, but safe to say I wouldn’t want to spend RM13 to eat something so bland. Service was ok, seating might be an issue at peak hours. Sorry guys, really wanted you to be good, but not to me....

We dined in end Oct 2023. Food was tasty except the kuah a bit spicy Can order ikan goreng panas2 but the menu misleading bcause we thought it was whole bawal/tenggiri fish but instead its just small piece. The menu picture showed whole fish. But i guess for that price really for small piece not whole.

Also need to improve the way calculate orders. We thought they calculated upfront and saved for later because we showed our foods at the counter before eating. But after we finished eating and wanted to pay, we had to repeat all our dishes. It was inconvenient because we didnt know what dishes our other family members took.

The rice was fluffy and fragrant, and the selection of curries was just perfect — rich, spicy, and full of depth. I tried the ayam goreng and sotong sambal, and both were cooked perfectly. What really made it stand out was the kuah campur (mixed gravy) — it tied everything together beautifully.

Service was fast even though the place was packed, and the staff were friendly and helpful when recommending dishes. Price-wise, it's reasonable for the portion and taste. Highly recommended if you're a fan of authentic Malaysian food. Will...
