Been wanting to try this place. I love the atmosphere because it's tucked in the corner of a mosque. Feels not too hyped. The portion was alright. Taste was alright. The food was decently displayed. A little on the bland side. Service was a bit slow, they came out with the 5 orders, and my lamb olio came out 15mins after. Chicken chop/fish and chips were nicely fried. Mac n cheese was bland. Olio lamb was bland, and lamb was not juicy, not tender. Meatballs was nicely portioned with the cranberry sauce and fries and mashed potatoes and a garnish of salad, which was nice to see! I didn't like that the meatballs were ultra processed not real meatballs. Assam Boi drink was ok, not sweet. We are used to less sweet drinks. The nachos had too much of its dip, and didn't have much of salsa flavours to it. The failed stuff 1. Boboa milk drink - evaporated milk really spoiled the taste 2. The cakes, pavlova - it's common nowadays but hugely disappointing to see fake cream on desserts, tasted horrible and too sweet, no real balance. The fruits on it were already few days old. Not worth it. 3. Caramel something cake - again fake cream, tasted a bit like vomit at some parts, had a bug on it. These three things I would not spend on again. Food and ambiance wise, I would come again, nothing super special about their food, but it's decent enough. I would not order the nachos, desserts or boboa again (although my kids would be tempted to get boboa no matter what) again. But their fish n chips, and their chicken chop looked decent.

Good place to be if you're in the area. Good ample parking space its an adventure indeed to enter the masjid ,,🀠 Great ambience , it's a nice container +sheds , and tastefully decorated with lights and music volume is just nice. Calming atmosphere too. Only tried 2 items tonight, hits the spot and it's decently priced. 1. Buttermilk linguine with beef (strips). Well seasoned well balanced dish, portion is enough , pasta al dente and well coated . 2. Mushroom soup and garlic bread. Properly garnished and the garlic bread sticks well moist with butter and well toasted . Soup hits the right notes when it's steaming hot.. however as time lapses it does fare on the saltier side. But it is still delicious when savored together with dunked bread. Still nice πŸ™‚ Had teh ais and it's alright, clean fresh tea. Prompt service, and food came out fast too. Well done. Had an eye for the Chops with their signature Mozzarella Lava Paprika,.. I guess that's on the next visit here. And desserts too πŸ˜‹

Came here for a family dinner during weekday. Service crew was very attentive & helpful. This is the new location after they have moved from originally house operated which was located across the main street. Ample parking space. It's literally within Masjid Al-Hidayah, Melawati compound. Specifically adjacent to its parking lot & next to futsal court. Tan Coffee House has its own parking area that can accommodate around 8-10 cars. Wide selection of foods & beverages. Various type of cakes too. Instagram worthy place. Food: 9/10 Ambience: 9/10 Service time: 8/10 Price: average RM20 - RM30 per person

I have high expectations bcs of the area and the looks from the outside and review looks good. But buttermilk chicken kinda not into my liking, its a bit salty and i dont really like the taste and texture of the fried chicken. The buttermilk sauce not really "buttermilk", but okaylah be able to finish it. The portion of the rice and chicken is quite okay and big and enough to make me full. The price not bad. The food is not bad at all, its just not into my liking and i dont feel like i taste and eat the correct buttermilk chicken. Above all, i will come again to try another menu, maybe another menu is tastier and not salty. There's a lot of parking because it is inside the mosque area, so dont worry, juts...
