Our neighbor, she's a very kind person. We're both literally, so call BFF la because anytime talking about food, she Onzzzzzz.. Happy Eater. Since we love to eat, apalagi scout another breakfast place la. Breakfast hopping mode turn On. Then, we found this restaurant that served breakfast. We'll see how la can beat our expectations or not. The main reason we choose here because they serve kuey tiew kungfu. Actually we're keen for it many times. So, we decided to try an error here.
Food: We ordered macam tiada hari esok as usual. Kuey tiew kungfu, nasi lemak ayam berempah with 3 different sambal, mee kicap i guess, not remember they dish name and etc... you can see from the photo uploaded. From all of the menu we ordered, Nasi Lemak je met our expectation a bit because they had sambal sotong and sambal udang. The rest just moderate. As from my phrase, less WOW factor. Gituuuuu. Cucur Udang is not bad as well. We're unable to finish it because we're full already with nasi and other curry mee. But then, the cucur udang best. We categorize as comfort food la for breakfast menu. Talking about kuey tiew kungfu still remains the same. Wasn't meeting our expectations. This means we need to cook for ourselves again, la. Because we thought that was kuey tiew instead they serve yee mee. Different than the real kungfu that supposedly to be kuey tiew fried with crispy egg and flour. I think here provide excellent Kaya Toast. So, my recommendations would be any toast in the menu as they used real margerine. Not planta yeeee. Kaya pun sedap.
Beverage: Hot Milo and Teh tarik. Basic Malay drinks, but they are unable to provide the best. Just so so. You require to request sweet while ordering unless they serve you with bitter teh tarik with less foam.
Price: Average.
Overall satisfaction, average. Do not expect too much when it comes here. The service was good as well. If we're gonna repeat again, well, the chance might be 50/50, depending on the situation, because it is located near the Melawati Mall. That area kinda busy during the weekend because pasar pagi and pasar malam...

Mama immediately fell in love with the ambiance and the music playing in the background added to the overall experience.
The kitchen was accommodating - as we asked to switch the sambal for the lempeng santan with condensed milk as Mama is no longer able to tolerate spicy food
What the entourage had: Char Kuey Teow - less spicy (had good char though Papa said it was a bit bland - probably the less spicy also reduced the ratio of soy in the mix hence the less umami) Lempeng Santan (with susu pekat) (it was nicely cooked but Mama could only handle 1 piece - the other she gleefully handed to me) Butter Clam with Fried Mantou Bun - loved the richness of the gravy and they were generous with the clams - fried mantou a bit on the oily side Steamed Bun with Butter and Kaya - just right of fluffiness and the butter was firm yet softened enough that it had a bit of bite while you can taste the creaminess - the Kaya was excellent Mushroom Soup - Aryan had two servings - enough said :) Cendol - lovely lovely thick santan and generous serving - I couldn’t finish it at the sitting and asked for it to be packed to...
Read moreCame here for brunch and planned to do some online work afterward. Unfortunately, it turned into a bad experience. Although we ordered a variety of food and drinks, we were asked to leave the table right after finishing our meal because the staff wanted to give the table to other customers. This was quite frustrating, especially considering the amount we had spent.
We ordered the Laksa Utara (which was watery, and the fish soup was lacking), Wat Tan Hor (which was delicious), Butter Pandan Kaya, Teh C, White Coffee, and Plain Water. The food was generally good, except for the Laksa, but the service left much to be desired.
The ambiance is nice, with nostalgic Malay music and décor, but it’s not a place to chill or relax, as the staff may ask you to vacate your table even if you've spent a lot on food.
Here’s a breakdown based on my experience:
Food Quality: 3.5/5 (Wat Tan Hor was delicious, but the Laksa was watery and lacking fish soup) Ambiance: 4/5 (Nostalgic Malay music and décor, nice atmosphere) Service: 2/5 (Poor experience with being asked to leave after ordering a lot of food) Value for Money: 3/5 (Spent a lot, but not allowed to relax after the...
