Woodfire Kemensah — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

Had a dinner for this place. Despite all the good reviews i read for this place, i have my own opinion that might differ from others. First ,the place got very limited parking space for car. But nevermind this as this was not a big issue. Second, this restaurant has very limited seat. I saw two big tables for 4 person. And the rest were some tables for couple . Avoid peak hour to avoid waiting for seats. Third , when i reached there. The staff were not around at the counter, they were at the backdoor , and no greetings or sorry for leaving us unattended .There were one big buff guy that were serving us. No smile, no talk, no any recommendations and no gesture of gratitude after we paid( i mean a basic simple serving attitude staff) definitely not friendly . Fourth ,the burger were good and flavorful( it should be good for a price rm2+.++ for a burger ) Fifth , ordered strawberry juice and peach juice. It was delivered in small glass around 150ml or even less, can refer pics although it's not full pics. A glass priced nearly rm10 comes with tiny glass. Surpassed our expectation for the taste! Very flavourful and each adjective of the flavours blend perfectly, though I must note sweetness ranged a bit more than the rest! We see ourselves coming back again for sure. Ordered a burger for dine in and 2 more burgers to take home. On top of our happy review for the food, I must review how generous they are with the books. While waiting for them to prepare our food, I skimmed through their (almost) exploded book rack. Found the Odysseys one and read through. So engrossed in it I asked the waiter if I could borrow it and promise to come back for their delicious burgers and return the book. The waiter chuckled and said I could take any books I want for free. I could not believe my ears though. Ordered Beef Brisket Burger. I thought there is only brisket cut in the burger, but they included a beef patty, and beef strip kind of slices. Overall the burger tastes good, but when tasting the brisket slice alone, feels like it is underseasoned. The beef strips and patty were seasoned properly.

On the services, I feel like they are slightly under-staffed. Used tables were not wiped clean, so we had to wipe stains from previous customer by ourselves. Wiped the table with serviettes, and at one point, they too ran out (from customers using to wipe the table, and usually hands and mouth). No signs of the staff to refill the serviettes.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was fine, and most of the customers cleaning up for themselves, but as there was no staff cleaning the tables, and the trash can keeps filling up, they just added another garbage bag beside the trash can, so that was slightly...
