[holiao] 1) overall - Swedish inspired chain restaurant, very famous for its meatball, curry puff, spring roll, fried chicken wing, free flow of coffee and beverages, clean environment, self service picking up food --> pay --> look for seat --> clean up, plenty of seating capacity and parking, do still expect queue during peak hours from IKEA Batu Kawan Restaurant 2) Beef meatball - comes with mushy mashed potato, sweet strawberry jam and boiled tasteless brocolli, meatballs were succulent and tasty, do dip and pair with mashed potato and strawberry jam, the mixture of sweet and salty food is the best combo 3) fried chicken wing - crispy skin and juicy chicken meat, tasty and delicious 4) fried spring roll - vegetable filling, crispy skin and crunchy mixture of vegetable inside 5) free flow of coffee/tea - coffee was not too bad 6) croissant - croissant was flaky and tasty, others are okay 7) Lasagna - creamy sauce with the hint of tomato adding a kick to the flavour, noodle sheet were completely soaked in the sauce, must try 8) egg tart - too flaky skin, almost too dry, egg mixture was ok

Definitely must visit CAFE in the Penang at least once if you're looking for different types of food varieties with delicious coffee ☕. Here's the best place to have our favourite food with wonderful dine in options available with wonderful ambience set-up and spacious area form level ground and level 1 . Self pick up options available here. Prices are moderate . If you're visiting IKEA Store you must definitely visit this Swedish cafe for different experiences for family outings and friends. Working space is available inside the cafe is a great thing .

This is a review for food bought at the IKEA cafe beside the cashiers. Ordered their chicken mayo croissant set and a baked apple dessert (forgot the exact name). The set comes with a super generous serving of cheese with their salad. The croissant with chicken and mayo inside was good but nothing jaw dropping. Enough for smaller eaters like me. Service was fast and polite but the cafe may occasionally be not so clean due to irresponsible patrons not clearing their own wastes

The IKEA restaurant at Batu Kawan delivers a delightful dining experience that perfectly complements the overall shopping trip. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, characterized by modern Scandinavian aesthetics and a bustling ambiance.

The restaurant's menu features a wide array of delectable Swedish and local dishes, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. From the iconic Swedish meatballs served with creamy gravy and lingonberry sauce to flavorful Malaysian favorites, there's something for everyone to savor. Moreover, the quality of the food is consistently high, and the portions are generous, ensuring visitors leave satisfied.

One highlight of the IKEA restaurant is its family-friendly environment. A designated play area keeps the little ones entertained, allowing parents to enjoy their meals without worry. Additionally, the affordability of the dishes makes it an excellent choice for families on a budget.

The self-serve system enables a smooth and efficient dining experience. Guests can order and pay at the counter, then conveniently collect their food from the pick-up area. This setup reduces waiting times, especially during busy periods when the restaurant can get crowded.

However, it is worth noting that the restaurant's popularity can lead to long queues during peak hours. Therefore, it is advisable to plan your visit accordingly or opt for...

The restaurant is quite large and spacious with ample tables and seats to accommodate a lot of people. The environment is quite clean as well.

You won’t always get good service. We went yesterday and the service was fine but it can get quite erratic during busy hours.

Food-wise, it feels like you are eating at a higher class cafeteria but half of the dishes are below par. Our salmon fillet was not fresh and had a fishy smell, the beef wellingtom was over cooked, and the chicken on a rice dish was overcooked. The only saving grace was the bottomless drinks and some of the snacks and mushroom soup.

In saying that, the food prices are very expensive and it would be worth paying if the majority of the food is delicious but sadly, that is not the case. You can certainly visit this restaurant when shopping in IKEA, otherwise, it is better to...
