I visited this restaurant at 8:30 AM, a quiet time with minimal crowd, so I assumed service would be prompt. I sat down and waited for the menu, noticing that the staff were not busy, yet no one approached to explain that ordering was done by scanning a QR code on the table. After a full minute of waiting, I realized this myself and placed my order through the code.
After placing the order, I didn’t notice it hadn’t gone through due to a technical issue. Five minutes later, I realized the order hadn’t been processed and re-submitted it. Throughout this time, the staff were simply standing around, not offering any assistance or checking if we needed help.
When the food finally arrived, my bowl of chicken hor fun was missing vegetables, despite the fact that it had them on my last visit. I asked the waiter about it, and he checked with a staff member at the counter, who came over and told us they were out of vegetables. Without any apology or prior warning. If they knew they were out of ingredients, they should have informed us when we ordered so we could have chosen something else.
The meal looked plain and unappetizing, and the lack of communication and courtesy from the staff left me extremely disappointed. This experience was very poor, and I don’t plan to return to this outlet. Thank you its...
Read moreI don't know if it's just me, because when I went in there were a lot of people. They probably came from work nearby to grab a bite and there weren't many options.
I ordered their roast pork rice, and the only thing good about it is the egg. The rest were too salty.
My mother and sister ordered pan mee, one dry one soup. I feel both tasted worse than my roast pork rice.
I live in Bukit Mertajam. Though I can't say the food in OO White Coffee is horrendous (it's ok ok), I feel any kopitiam there sells food tastier and cheaper than the food sold here.
Like, omg the roast pork belly was so salty I feel my brain got dehydrated. I also feel if I eat here regularly for a decade I'll get high blood pressure and lose all my hair.
The environment is pretty, the kopi is nice, I see many good/ok reviews about its nasi lemak but I can't comment since I haven't tried it, but I'm probably not gonna come back. IKEA and MCD which is nearby are better options...
Read moreYouthful, casual, clean and designed for a quick turnover of diners, OO White Coffee is an easy choice for a quiet, simple meal. Modelled after the trendy Hongkong-style cafes, OO White Coffee serves local fare as well. Of note is their eggs-on/toast set which comes with a selection of coffee and tea options. The quantity of crispy, buttery toast was just right for their perfectly soft-boiled eggs. Careful with the soy sauce - all light and almost no dark means a little dash goes a long way.
Try also their dry noodle selection: go for dark soy of you like depth of flavour; the Sarawak original tastes bright and a gentle warmth. For a playful nip, use their ground chilli mix. We ordered a side of Char Siew, which more than pleased with its not-too-sweet savoury flavours and the mix of fat and lean meat.
The bill came just shy of RM60 and will satisfy three small appetites or two healthy ones. That’s...
