Mike Smokehouse celebrated International Women’s Day with a delicious grilled feast. The grilled chicken had decent flavor but could be enhanced with fresh rosemary, as the current seasoning seemed mild—possibly due to the use of older dried herbs. Serving the half chicken whole instead of cutting it into small pieces might also improve presentation and texture.
The roasted pork belly paired well with its sauce, but the flavors could be even better with a longer herb marination. Some pieces were slightly tough, which might be due to the type of pork used or cooking before it was fully thawed. A touch of lemon juice in the marinade could help tenderize the meat for an even juicier result.
We ordered fresh watermelon juice, and I was truly impressed. It was rich, naturally sweet, and refreshingly thick—made purely from fresh watermelon without any added water or sugar.

We tried 2 salads (grilled apple & something with watermelon and lychee), 2 types of ribs (signature smokehouse & mustard peach), a pork sausage dish, and a pork shoulder dish (their special for the night). The food was delicious - the ribs and pork shoulder were a nice balance between tender and fat; rib meat came right off the bone and the pork shoulder had a lovely layer of crispy skin, mm mm. Also loved the coleslaw! Fresh, crunchy, well seasoned, and (importantly) perfectly chilled.
The staff were attentive, communicative, and friendly. It's always nice to go to a place where the staff are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable (about their dishes). Makes for a better dining experience.
Ambience was nice. It's not a very large place but cozy and comfortable. I see room for new/more decor - I'm thinking something with a Texan flair, like blackboards with chalk writing or longhorns! But that's something for the owner to decide on. Will be back to try...

(Chicken chop serve with mash potatoes n coslaw, this is what the menu said) when I make order, i requested the mash potato change to french fries, they said ok. when my dish came, just chicken chop n fries, coslaw missing, few minutes later, they serve a big plate of mash potato. i told the guy i dont want mash potatoes and exchange to fries... and the coslaw is missing toooo. then he serve another plate of coslaw and cost us RM10.00. Excuse me... is not my mistakes and put the cost on us. this is our 1st visit and with very bad experience.
just a simple request... chicken chop change the mash potato to fries.... thats all, and u have to serve the rest of my Vege (coslaw).
Pork shoulder is good... but not worth for the chicken chop.
