Restaurant Hong Yun 鸿运茶饭店·茶餐室 — Restaurant in Borneo

Been here once for family dinner. It was great! My parents decided to come here again today however the speed of food being served is extremely disappointing.

Prior to sitting down, the staff mentioned that the food will take an hour to be served due to the full house situation. We still thought it was ok hence proceed to place order, 30 mins has passed and we saw the table next to us paid for their drinks and soup to just leave, another table left because one of their noodle served but was chasing for another to be served but no avail.

After 45mins we checked with the staff where is our food and the staff said need another hour more 😭. Parents are 70 years old, they cant be eating dinner at 9pm right. So we chose to leave to another restaurant nearby.

I dont blame the staffs for highlighting that it is going to be a long waiting time. I do blame the boss for allowing such situation to happen.

If you cant manage the crowd within the restaurant itself or when it is starting to get out of hand.. please stop deploying tables outside!!! why would you be so greedy to deploy tables outside of the premise to give empty promises to the customers

Came here twice. Twice also the same waitress took our order. She always promote their special menu. If you don't want, like you already know what you want to order, she insisted their special menu. It's nice, but if i dont want how? 😅 Then the 2nd time came here, i still don't want the special menu that she offered, i chose the menu that i LIKE, then she sigh so loud. Then i looked at her, i ask her, why did you sigh? Then she just laugh it off. I was not in a good mood that time 😪 then she sigh so loud, whyyy? Is she tired? Firstly, location is in hotspot area. Parking is hard to find, best is to use Grab service to get here. They have outdoor setting and indoor setting with air-conditioned. They can fit in 10 person round table setting. Service is fast, food quality is great, prices is reasonable too. They do have Grab/Foodpanda service. Wating time is around 10minutes for a single dish. Still okay compare to other restaurant. Staff and cashier/owner in good attitude. They don't shout unlike other places.
